Seeing that Gwendolyn remained unmoved, Frederick shrieked even more desperately, "Damnable madwoman, stop! You have no idea what you're doing! You'll regret this!"
"Please, don't do it! Dear Lady Gwendolyn, things aren't what you think. You don't understand. You'll kill me! You'll kill Martha and plunge this world into an irredeemable catastrophe!"
But Dragon Queen Gwendolyn's icy gaze did not linger for even a moment on the struggling evil god who begged for its life. She had seen enough of their honeyed words. She was no ignorant mortal.
She raised her head and looked toward 'Roman,' wanting to see fear on her face.
But she was destined to be disappointed.
The expression on Merchant's Daughter's face was somewhat strange, but it could hardly be called fear. Rather, she seemed somewhat amused and somewhat pitying.
In that instant.
Gwendolyn almost wanted to stop, but she couldn't. She couldn't afford this failure. The Tree Shepherds couldn't afford it, and neither could this world.
The look in Frederick's dark eyes shifted from fear, to pleading, to filled with hope, and finally to despair. That despair transformed into a long, mournful howl:
"I curse you, you damned **!"
"I curse you and this damned world! You're all doomed!"
"Ah!"
The moment it touched the edge of the four Elemental Laws surrounding 'Roman,' all its curses turned into a shrill scream. Its enormous body then split apart, transforming into a cloud of blood mist that scattered in every direction.
Yet within that blood mist, several clumps of golden blood separated from Frederick's remains and floated through the gray space.
For a brief moment.
Dragon Queen Gwendolyn actually sensed a trace of familiarity from that blood. She seemed to see a girl with eyes so pure they were nearly
