"Mr. Brando... M-Mr. Brando, how did you know?" Magdal stared at the man before her as if she had seen a ghost, looking so weak she might faint at any moment.
Brando said nothing.
"Perhaps none of this was an illusion," he slowly said after a long while. "Perhaps it was your real experience. You witnessed all of this with your own eyes, and the memories it formed were buried deep within your soul."
"Perhaps someone deliberately buried it all—"
"Mr. Brando... could you really be the Dark Dragon..." Princess Magdal was unable to speak for a long time. At last, she asked in a daze, "Everything the witches said was true? Are you the one described in the Black Prophecy, the one who descended into this world, who knows everything, who will destroy everything and yet save the world?"
Brando let out a long breath.
"I'm not." He withdrew the flames from his palm and answered calmly in the darkness, "Miss Magdal, you'd better think carefully about who attacked you back then."
With that, Brando turned his gaze toward the other side of the laboratory.
Darkness could not obstruct his sight. His keen Heavenly Eye and Darkness Perception allowed him to see through his surroundings in any environment, even without opening his eyes.
