In the northern wind, a faint wailing sound drifted over, threading through the cries of battle and mingling with the snow filling the sky before floating down onto the ruined battlements.

Nemesis suddenly pricked up her ears. She rose from inside the tower and looked thoughtfully toward the arrow slits. Beyond them, the Alder River flats were blanketed in white. In the distance, the dark shadow of East Mintai Forest hung on the horizon like a bank of gloomy clouds, while the various nobles' banners flickered in and out of sight along the skyline.

"Lady Nemesis, you shouldn't be moving around right now."

As soon as Bronze Dragon Leto entered the tower, he saw what the female knight was doing and could not help reminding her, "You'd better rest for a while. After we join forces, we can hold out a little longer. And for some reason, the Buga people seem to have left."
