Less than a minute before Laurenna spoke, the hunter girl charged forward as if she had lost her soul. Her thin body stumbled through the biting wind, looking as though she might tumble off the cliff like a kite with its string cut at any moment.
If Medisa had not received Brando's orders beforehand and stayed with Scholar Miss, something like that might really have happened.
But Peya could no longer care about any of that. She finally spotted her younger brother beneath the ice wall ahead. The place looked exactly like what she had seen in her dream. She saw her brother lying among the shattered ice as if he were asleep.
The hunter girl let out a low growl from the depths of her throat, almost like a beast's. The emotions she had suppressed for days finally erupted at that moment. She charged forward like a madwoman, completely disregarding the steep ice and treacherous terrain. Her hands were quickly cut by the sharp icicles, and bright red blood traced a line up the cliff formed from Ten Thousand Years of Cold Ice. Ahead, Peya climbed relentlessly upward like a mother leopard.
Medisa was astonished to discover that she could barely keep up with her, let alone quietly remind her to be careful. She could only watch as Peya rushed madly toward the place where her brother lay, her black hair flying wildly in the wind like a blooming Black Rose.
Just then, the Little Princess of the Silver Elves suddenly felt the ice beneath her feet begin to tremble. She instinctively raised her head. A conspicuous crack spread over her head and shot toward Peya ahead.
"Careful, Peya!"
Laurenna's shout arrived only then. At the same time, there was a thunderous crack, and the ice above Peya collapsed.
