While Brando's wager was underway, Grand Duke Anlek and his group had already passed through the central maze under Quhoa's guidance. The road ahead grew increasingly spacious, gradually forming corridors like hollow spaces within the mountain. The corridors rose hundreds of feet high, and pillar bases over thirty feet in diameter supported beams resembling the ribs of giant beasts. Looking up, one could see the magnificent pillars embedded one by one into the walls on either side.
The hall was far from empty. That prehistoric battle had extended here, filling the spacious passage with bones of all sizes. The skeletons still retained the forms they had held while fighting, as though a brutal battle had been interrupted by a sudden disaster, with every combatant frozen in the final moment of life. Bones filled the entire space, forcing Anlek and the others to wind their way through the gaps between them. He was just walking around a winged skeleton. It still wore half-plate armor covered in silver wings, but the armor that had once shone brilliantly had long since lost its magical radiance, becoming nothing more than a pile of rusted scrap metal.
This was the corpse of a Divine Servant. The Seraphim, members of the Golden Kin, had been completely wiped out in the Battle of Babel. The few survivors had hidden beyond the Elemental Boundary
