Ch. 601Requiem XIV

Brando fought his way through the demon army toward the Gate of Flames, using Flash Sword and his remaining experience to overcome Dimensional Anchor and reach the portal. He left Antitina to work on the portal while he prepared to hold off the three Horned Demons, with only five minutes to buy her.

  • Brando used Flash Sword to cut through the demons, but his stamina and mana dwindled as he carried Antitina toward the portal.
  • Brando recognized the Demon Sorcerers' Dimensional Anchor and used Charge Skill to escape its area before flashing forward again.
  • Brando spent Mavikalt's remaining experience to raise Flash Sword to level five, letting him reach the portal in a single strike.
  • A Horned Demon anticipated Brando's attack and knocked his sword aside, forcing him to land near the three demons guarding the portal.
  • Brando released Antitina and gave her five minutes to work on the portal while he prepared to draw the Horned Demons away.

Ch. 602Requiem XV

Brando fought three Horned Demons alone while Antitina searched for the teleportation gate’s node under the Veil of All Things. He destroyed one demon with the Godslayer Demon-Breaking Cone, but lay battered before the two remaining demons.

  • Brando gave Antitina the Veil of All Things so she could search for the teleportation gate’s node while he distracted the three Horned Demons.
  • Brando dodged the demons’ attacks and wounded one, then taunted them and led them around the gate to keep their attention.
  • As Brando grew exhausted and bloodied, he threw practice daggers to provoke and misdirect the Horned Demons.
  • Brando struck one Horned Demon with the Godslayer Demon-Breaking Cone, which dragged it back beneath the Sulfur River.
  • Brando tried to rise as the two remaining Horned Demons closed in.

Ch. 603Requiem XVI

Brando and his allies destroyed the northern portal at Ambersell while fighting off the Horned Demons. The victory drew attention across the battlefield, and Messica, King of Chaos, vanished to investigate as Leisimeca and Stark remained at their post.

  • Antitina identified the portal’s three connection points, and Charles and Garlok struck them with spells while Brando held the Horned Demons back.
  • Brando let a Horned Demon wound him, used Solar Flare Blood to burn it, and killed it with the Sword of Earth before it was banished.
  • Antitina picked up the silver cylindrical relic Brando had tried to retrieve and urged him to tend to his wounds.
  • Nicholas’s golden flames overwhelmed the final Horned Demon and burned through its throat.
  • Charles and Garlok struck the portal again, destroying it in a golden explosion that people on distant battlefields saw and cheered.
  • Messica, King of Chaos, sensed the portal’s destruction and disappeared to investigate, while Leisimeca warned Stark to stay focused on their mission.

Ch. 604Requiem XVII

Brando and the knights destroyed the second Gate of Flames after teleporting to it and fighting off the demons guarding it. With one portal still remaining two thousand meters away and a vast demon force closing in, Brando saw no clear way to reach it except through perseverance or a miracle.

  • After the Horned Demon died, the Lesser Demons fled, and the battered knights reunited with Brando as Nicholas helped him to his feet.
  • Brando ordered Garlok to teleport the group near the second portal, and the spell carried them into an ambush by high-ranking demons that killed three knights and one witch.
  • Nicholas, Reld, and the Templar Knight fought the Horned Demons while Brando charged the Demon Sorcerers and exploited their fireball attacks to disrupt and defeat them.
  • Antitina quickly located the second portal’s nodes, impressing Garlok with her magical talent, and the group destroyed the portal.
  • As the knights cheered, Brando saw the last portal two thousand meters away and faced a swarm of demons with no plan beyond perseverance or a miracle.

Ch. 605Requiem XVIII

With the second Gate of Flames collapsing and the demon army closing in, Brando proposed splitting the survivors so one group could escort Antitina and Charles to the third portal under the Cloak of the Giant King. Princess Griffine took command of the dangerous mission, declaring that the blood of Kolkova flowed for Eluin, as the knights rallied behind her.

  • Brando assessed the outnumbered, wounded group and proposed using one team as a decoy while the other escorted Antitina and Charles toward the third portal beneath Punic's cloak.
  • Brando admitted that the plan could end in their deaths and apologized for asking his companions to risk their lives, but the knights and Babasha volunteered to fight.
  • Princess Griffine pointed out that Brando's familiarity with the cloak made him essential to the escort team, then offered to command the battle in his place.
  • Griffine declared that she would choose Eluin over herself and proclaimed, "The blood of Kolkova flows for Eluin."
  • The knights shouted their support for Griffine and the Kingdom of Eluin while Brando was struck by the resemblance between her declaration and the one he remembered.

Ch. 606Requiem XIX

Brando’s group reached the last Gate of Flames, but Messika, King of Chaos, emerged and struck down Antitina before they could destroy it. Brando remembered his Fate Card might still save her as Messika’s attack closed in.

  • Griffine led a small group carrying Eluin’s flag as a decoy while Brando’s party skirted the battlefield under the Giant King's Punic Cloak.
  • Reld protected Griffine from the Barbarians and used White Crow Swordplay to cut through the demons as the decoy force was overwhelmed.
  • Nicholas attacked the Horned Demons while Brando and his companions advanced toward the last Gate of Flames.
  • Antitina rushed toward the gate, but Messika, King of Chaos, appeared through a Gate of Light and pierced her with its claws.
  • Brando froze at Antitina’s apparent death until Saint Osore reminded him that his Fate Card might bring her back.
  • Brando regained his senses, but Messika’s shadow engulfed him as its attack descended.

Ch. 607Requiem XX

Brando and his allies turned Messika’s true name against the Demon Lord, allowing Dirfiel to sever its connection to the lower world at great cost to herself. Messika summoned reinforcements as the battlefield demons withdrew, leaving the princess and her companions wondering what had changed.

  • Brando dodged Messika’s attacks with help from the Wind Empress and Charles’s Law of the Wall spell, but Messika immobilized Brando and Charles with a demonic curse.
  • Brando told Dirfiel Messika’s true name, and Dirfiel used the Demon Armlet to revoke its authority, suffering severe backlash.
  • Dirfiel commanded Messika to sever its connection to the lower world, stripping away its power and weakening it dramatically.
  • Messika blew the Horn of the Great Demon to summon reinforcements, and Brando and Charles moved to stop it.
  • The demons surrounding the princess and her companions abruptly withdrew, leaving them puzzled despite the teleportation gate remaining in place.

Ch. 608Requiem XXI

Brando nearly killed the weakened Messika, but Eagle Swordsman Dejar intervened as Princess Griffine’s group teleported in front of the retreating demon army. A battlefield-wide Ring of Lightning disrupted the fight, and a Titan Colossus rose beneath Ambersell, leaving Brando stunned.

  • Brando wounded Messika and prepared to destroy her Dark Magic Stone, but a dagger from Eagle Swordsman Dejar knocked his sword aside.
  • Princess Griffine’s group teleported in front of the demon army while Garlok and two wounded Lantorilan knights stayed behind to cover their escape.
  • Dejar attacked Brando, and a Ring of Lightning swept across the battlefield, destroying Charles’s staff and disrupting his magic.
  • Brando abandoned Messika to evade Dejar as the demon climbed to her feet and escaped.
  • A gigantic Titan Colossus broke through the ground beneath Ambersell, and Brando recognized the impossible sight.

Ch. 609Requiem XXII

Brando raced to destroy the teleportation gate after two Titans appeared, but found Antitina alive despite believing Messika had killed her. As Brando and Antitina reached the gate, a Titan landed in their path, leaving them facing an overwhelming obstacle.

  • Brando ran toward Antitina and the teleportation gate while Charles and Nicholas held off Dejar and Messika.
  • Brando found Antitina lying in bloodied, torn clothes, but discovered she was unharmed and still alive.
  • Antitina embraced Brando in relief, then calmed herself and agreed to help him reach the teleportation gate.
  • Brando and Antitina ran toward the gate, but a Titan descended in a bolt of lightning and blocked their way.

Ch. 610Requiem XXIII

Brando fought the Titan Colossus by enduring its lightning and reflecting its attacks back at it, then struck at its exposed core. The Titan was badly damaged but survived, while Brando fell helplessly and faced another Titan—until a familiar voice called his name.

  • Brando charged the Titan Colossus, endured its lightning attacks with the Unyielding Talent, and provoked it into attacking again.
  • Brando's Blood of the Sun reflected the Titan's lightning back at it, cracking its chest and exposing its core.
  • Brando used his Crimson Blessing and the Sword of Earth to attack the Titan's core, then shouted for Antitina to run to the portal.
  • Antitina rushed toward the portal as the Titan's lightning went out and Brando fell to the ground, but the colossus remained standing.
  • Brando realized his Crimson Blessing had melted and broken, leaving him unable to move as a second Titan appeared.
  • A familiar voice called out to Brando in the darkness.

Ch. 611Requiem XXIV

Roman rushed to stop Marquis Yuxi from taking control of a Titan Colossus, while Medusa Leisimeca’s attempt to intervene came too late. Roman vanished with the Colossus as it transformed into lightning and flew away, leaving Leisimeca to check on Skuta.

  • Roman rejected White Mist’s advice to accept Brando’s fate and charged toward the Colossus, determined to steal it.
  • Roman used her cage and Castling magic to evade Cultists and reach the ladder as Marquis Yuxi climbed toward the Colossus.
  • Skuta pursued Roman up the ladder, but Roman’s Fracturing Potion broke the scaffolding and sent him crashing down.
  • Roman used a Magic Rope to hang from the Colossus, but Leisimeca shot her in the shoulder while trying to sever the rope.
  • The Colossus transformed into blue lightning and flew away with Roman, while Leisimeca found Skuta alive among the fallen Cultists.

Ch. 612Requiem XXV

Roman survived the Titan Colossus’s electric attack, killed Marquis Yuxi, and took control of the construct. She destroyed the teleportation gate and crushed the approaching demons, but as Brando awaited death, a golden beam struck and he saw golden eyes.

  • Roman crawled toward the Titan Colossus’s ear canal after surviving its electric attack, then seized and killed Marquis Yuxi when he tried to stab her.
  • Roman reached the control room and used the Crystal Ball to make the Titan Colossus destroy its damaged companion.
  • Antitina told Roman that the teleportation gate’s three nodes were above her, and Roman accidentally knocked off her Titan’s arms while attacking.
  • Roman drove the Titan headfirst into the teleportation gate, shattering its nodes and causing an explosion that hurled the construct through the demon army.
  • Brando watched the gate disappear and closed his eyes in relief, but a golden beam pierced the clouds and he saw a pair of golden eyes.

Ch. 613Valkyrie's Ride (Part One)

As Bu'no'an Citadel faced defeat, Freya proposed a counterattack on Medao Village to delay the demons and keep the allied army from retreating. Nemesis and Marquis Barta approved the risky plan, leaving Freya to prepare for the attack.

  • Freya, Nemesis, and Beth watched the defenders retreat as the demons' assault threatened Bu'no'an Citadel.
  • Beth protested that the Princess was still ahead, but Nemesis insisted that following the Princess's order meant withdrawing rather than sacrificing the kingdom.
  • Freya proposed counterattacking Medao Village to cut off the demons' retreat and buy the defenders more time.
  • Nemesis approved Freya's plan and accepted responsibility for its consequences.
  • Marquis Barta supported the decision, saying he too refused to accept defeat, and Freya set out to make preparations.

Ch. 614Valkyrie's Ride (Part Two)

Nemesis led the White Lion Legion and the Royal Knight Academy cadets out from Bu'no'an Citadel to attack the demons near Medao Village while Marquis Barta held the citadel against a renewed assault. With the attack faltering and little time remaining, Nemesis prepared to lead Freya and the soldiers in one final charge.

  • Marquis Barta split the defenders, placing Nemesis in command of the force heading out while he stayed behind to defend Bu'no'an Citadel.
  • Nemesis ordered the White Lion battle standard raised and led Freya, Owen, Beth, Carlo, Enrok, and the troops toward Medao as demons moved to exploit the divided human army.
  • Barta's remaining veterans repelled the Cave Dwellers at the citadel, but hellhounds and Barbarian Demons launched a second assault.
  • Cave Lizard archers and demons attacked Nemesis's force near Medao, and a ballista bolt struck Beth, whom Nemesis ordered the others to leave behind.
  • After the White Lion Legion's assault on Medao's temporary walls failed twice, Nemesis told Freya she would lead the next charge herself.

Ch. 615Valkyrie's Ride (Part Two)

Freya took command of the battered White Lion Legion and awakened the Lion Mark, inspiring the soldiers to hold their ground against the demons. As the battle continued at terrible cost, a host of Silver Elves arrived from the south.

  • Nemesis led the White Lion Legion’s assault until Medusas and Minotaurs ambushed the troops, while a Horned Demon killed Marquis Barta and Bu'no'an Citadel fell.
  • Qian rescued Freya, and Nemesis entrusted her with the White Lion battle standard and command of the remaining soldiers.
  • Charlotte persuaded Owen to open the southern gate, where Sherlock’s forces lured the demon commander into a trap; Count Yanila Su ordered Victory to fire, and Owen raised the Eluin flag amid the destruction.
  • Freya rallied the White Lion Legion at Medao Village, awakening the Lion Mark and leading the soldiers and Qian in a desperate charge against the demons.
  • Wood decided to join the fight, but a silver-armored cavalry host arrived from the south, revealing the return of the Silver Elves.

Ch. 616The First Act: Awakening

Brando awakened after the battle and learned that Ambersell and Eluin had been saved, while High Priest Wood had resigned and taken on a role mediating between the Silver Elf Princess and the northern nobles. The chapter left Brando trying to understand how he had survived, as Tulamann revealed that an angry little dragon had saved him.

  • A royal messenger arrived in Port Ambersell, and Griffine hurried to see Brando after hearing that he had awakened.
  • Brando woke beside Roman and reunited with Antitina, Medisa, Mordefis, and the others, then asked how the battle had ended.
  • Tulamann told Brando that the city and Eluin had been saved and that Wood had given up his Temple positions to atone for his actions.
  • Antitina explained that the Temple of Flames had appointed Wood to mediate between the Silver Elf Princess and the northern nobles.
  • Brando discussed the nobles and the Temple with Tulamann, who suggested Wood intended to help Eluin and asked about Brando's survival.
  • Tulamann said the little dragon had saved Brando, and Brando turned to find her glaring at him.

Ch. 617Act Two: Is Cheating Really Okay?

Aloz returned and revealed that she had rescued Brando by using his Holy Water and placing a Titan’s Lightning Core in his chest, which greatly enhanced his abilities. She then tormented him with a dragon aphrodisiac until the princess caught them, leaving Brando to face her alone.

  • Aloz sent everyone else away, then teased Brando and explained that his equipment had been destroyed when he survived the Titan’s attack.
  • Aloz revealed that she had revived Brando with his No. 1 Holy Water and replaced his failed heart with the Titan’s Lightning Core.
  • Brando discovered the Lightning Core had become a Fantasy Rank Enhancement Crystal Core that doubled his mana, mana recovery, and Wind Elemental Pool capacity and increased his Willpower.
  • Aloz questioned Brando about his unusual abilities, then used dragon aphrodisiac to arouse and restrain him.
  • The princess arrived and caught Aloz sitting on Brando, so Aloz vanished and left Brando to deal with the princess.

Ch. 618Act Three: Eluin's Future

After waking from a half-month-long unconsciousness, Brando learned that Grand Duke Xifahe and many other Eluinians had died in the battle, leaving Eluin politically unstable. Princess Griffine asked Brando to oppose a northern settlement that would preserve the nobles’ semi-independent power, and revealed that Reld had entrusted the White Lion Legion to him.

  • Antitina told Brando that he had been unconscious for half a month and that Grand Duke Xifahe had died.
  • Princess Griffine remembered Reld’s death and the many Eluinians lost in the civil war, and concluded that the conflict needed to end.
  • Brando learned that Roman had killed Xifahe, that Marquis Barta and Master Livuz were dead, and that he had been made Count Tonigell.
  • Princess Griffine told Brando that the northern nobles wanted to enthrone Prince Haruze and preserve the kingdom’s existing political divisions.
  • Princess Griffine said Reld had entrusted the White Lion Legion to Brando, who was surprised and questioned whether the others would accept it.

Ch. 619The Fourth Act: The White Lion's Allegiance

Brando rejected the idea of taking command of the White Lion Legion and proposed that Freya lead it, with support from the Royal Knight Academy, while he and Princess Griffine considered how to unify the south without compromising with the Temple of Flames. The chapter ended with Griffine taking Brando to Ambersell’s renowned Lucetia Weapons and Armor Shop so he could address his damaged equipment.

  • Brando told Princess Griffine that he was unsuitable to command the White Lion Legion and proposed Freya as its successor, noting that the Lionheart Sword had acknowledged her.
  • Brando suggested that Freya and Carlo lead young recruits from the Royal Knight Academy into the White Lion Legion, and he said the south could be unified if the northern nobles did not interfere.
  • Brando told Griffine that the Temple of Flames might prevent civil war and that they would not compromise with anyone while awaiting the Cruzian’s answer.
  • Griffine invited Brando to tour rebuilt Port Ambersell, but he explained that he needed to visit the workshop district because his equipment was damaged.
  • Griffine directed her carriage to the Lucetia Weapons and Armor Shop and had Tymiss open the door for Brando.

Ch. 620Act 5: Hello, I'm Your Creditor

Brando and Princess Griffine visited the Rosetta Nya weapon shop, where its manager, Tanya, revealed that Brando’s grandfather owed her a holy sword. Tanya then asked them to help her find the Azure Spear, which she believed was hidden near Ambersell.

  • Brando and Princess Griffine explored the Rosetta Nya shop and met Caro, who was helping Tanya manage the store while working off her late father’s debt.
  • Tanya explained that Caro’s father had been her friend and that Caro would inherit the shop, despite the two-million-tor debt he had left behind.
  • Tanya recognized Brando and told him that his grandfather, Sword Saint Darus, had promised to exchange the sword she lent him for a holy sword.
  • Griffine confirmed that Tanya had given Darus the Earth Sword, Falling Star, and Brando protested when Tanya raised the old promise.
  • Tanya asked Brando and Griffine to help her find the Azure Spear, which she had heard was hidden near Ambersell.
