Tang San and Xiao Xiaoxiao survived the City of Slaughter, earned Divine Slaughter's Domain, and returned to Shrek before setting out with their companions for Sea God Island. After fighting Sea Soul Beasts and fleeing the Evil Orca King, they reached glowing waters where the pursuing orcas would not follow and Tang San sensed a call from deeper within.

• Bibi Dong ordered Spirit Hall to monitor Tang San, Xiao Xiaoxiao, and Shrek Academy while spreading rumors and investigating their allies.
• Tang San and Xiao Xiaoxiao traveled with Tai Tan to Gengxin City, where Tang San demonstrated how to awaken Molten Silver Essence before Tang Hao drove off Miles's forces.
• Tang Hao directed Tang San and Xiao Xiaoxiao to the City of Slaughter, where they survived its brutal streets, won one hundred arena matches, and passed Hell Road to gain Divine Slaughter's Domain.
• Tang San and Xiao Xiaoxiao returned to Shrek Academy, gathered immortal herbs for their companions, helped Master awaken the Golden Sacred Dragon, and restored Tang Hao's health so he could guard Ah Yin.
• The Shrek Eight Devils prepared for Sea God Island and sailed aboard the Sea Demon, where they weathered a storm and fought off Demon Soul Great White Sharks.
• Bibi Dong learned the group had sailed and sent the Magic Whale and Evil Orca King to intercept them, while the Eight Devils fought off an Evil Spirit Orca attack.
• The Evil Orca King surrounded the Sea Demon, but Tang San led the group through a gap and toward pale-blue glowing waters where the orcas stopped and withdrew.

The Shrek Eight Devils completed the Sea God’s first five trials, growing stronger as Xiao Xiaoxiao’s connection to the sacred pillars deepened. After passing the Seahorse, Sea Spear, and Sea Delusion pillar challenges, they prepared to face the Sea Ghost Sacred Pillar.

• Xiao Xiaoxiao guided the group to Sea God Island, where Seahorse Douluo assessed their abilities and assigned their trials.
• The Shrek Eight Devils trained under the Sea God’s Light, and Tang San and Xiao Xiaoxiao completed their first trials and gained new Soul Rings.
• Tang San and Xiao Xiaoxiao led the group through the Ring Sea’s defenses, helping them pass the second trial.
• The eight endured the tides at Furious Waves Despair and withstood the Soul Forging Abyss’s deep-sea pressure to pass their third and fourth trials.
• At the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King’s territory, Xiao Xiaoxiao sensed its Whale Song and reached into its Soul Origin, helping the group pass the fifth trial despite damaging her soul.
• After Xiao Xiaoxiao awakened, the Oracle announced a seven-day challenge against the Sacred Pillar guardians, and she helped the group trigger resonance at the Seahorse and Sea Spear Sacred Pillars.
• At the Sea Delusion Sacred Pillar, Tang San and Xiao Xiaoxiao overcame their illusions together with the others, and Sea Delusion Douluo declared the third pillar trial passed.

After the Shrek Eight Devils passed the Seven Sacred Pillar trials, Xiao Xiaoxiao was taken by the Star Brilliance Clan to heal her damaged Soul Origin, while Tang San returned to Shrek Academy. As Spirit Hall and the Starfall Organization grew more threatening, Tang San prepared to become strong enough to reunite with her.

• The Shrek Eight Devils passed the Sea Ghost, Sea Star, Sea Woman, and Sea Dragon trials, and Tang San awakened the Sea God's will to save Xiao Xiaoxiao from burning out her soul.
• Bo Saixi gave Tang San the Vast Sea Protective Cover and sent him and the others back to the continent, while secretly learning from Xiao Xiaoxiao's message that Tang Chen was in danger.
• Tang San and the Shrek Eight Devils fought off Purple Pearl and the Black Shark Gang during their voyage as Xiao Xiaoxiao's Soul Origin began to recover.
• At Vast Sea City, Elder Star Track identified Xiao Xiaoxiao as the Star Brilliance Clan's heir and took her for Star Baptism, while Tang San agreed to let her go and promised to bring her back.
• The Shrek Six returned to the academy, resumed training, and prepared for Tang San's Eighth Trial as reports warned of Spirit Hall's growing influence.
• The Star Brilliance Clan's Star Baptism stabilized Xiao Xiaoxiao's Soul Origin and stirred fragments of her memories, while Tang San and Shrek heightened their defenses against the approaching conflict.
• Tang San captured and killed a Starfall operative who revealed that the organization sought Xiao Xiaoxiao, prompting Shrek Academy to enter a state of war.
• After Xiao Xiaoxiao briefly awakened and asked for Tang San's help, Xing Hen brought Tang San resources from an unknown benefactor, and Tang San set out to grow stronger and reunite with her.

Tang San forged the Buddha Fury Tang Lotus and joined Xiao Xiaoxiao and the Star Brilliance Clan in defending Shrek Academy from Spirit Hall and the Holy Spirit Cult. After the Holy Spirit Cult Master’s attack was repelled, the survivors planned to seek refuge at the Clear Sky Sect, while Bibi Dong ordered another assault to stop them.

• Tang San reunited with Tang Hao at the Ice and Fire Two-Legged Spring, learned of the continent’s growing dangers, and set out for Gengxin City to meet Lou Gao.
• Tang Yuehua introduced herself to Tang San as his aunt, supplied rare materials and a sect token, and urged him to return to the Clear Sky Sect when his duties were complete.
• Tang San and Lou Gao forged the Buddha Fury Tang Lotus’s petals as Spirit Hall investigated the Blacksmith Association, while Xiao Xiaoxiao awakened in the Starfall Secret Realm and traveled to join them.
• Tang San and Xiao Xiaoxiao completed the Buddha Fury Tang Lotus as Xue Ye died and Xue Qinghe seized Heaven Dou City, then escaped Gengxin City with Lou Gao and the Star Brilliance Clan.

• After Tang San’s soul was damaged, Xiao Xiaoxiao agreed to Star Soul Resonance with him, and together they fought off Spirit Hall’s Titled Douluo and helped defend the academy.
• The Holy Spirit Cult Master opened a Space Rift with the Void Demon Heart, but Tang San, Xiao Xiaoxiao, the Shrek Eight Devils, and the academy’s defenders disrupted it and forced him to retreat.
