Lightning Release Chakra Mode

"Yoichi, I know this has been hard on you. If there's anything you don't understand about training in ninjutsu, you can come find me—my chakra nature happens to be Lightning."

After leaving Uchiha Fugaku's house, Uchiha Kanbayashi offered words of comfort.

The clan had given compensation in the form of jutsu and money, but the former was useless to Uchiha Yoichi, and the latter was something he had earned anyway. Both of Yoichi's parents were ninja, so the family definitely had no shortage of ninjutsu scrolls—they basically had all the common Fire Release techniques used by the Uchiha.

As for the money, it was rightfully his. A C-rank mission turning into an A-rank mission, and given the importance of the intelligence obtained, giving him five hundred thousand ryo wasn't even excessive.

This time, Yoichi had been forced to yield for the clan's sake. Not only had they failed to fight for the credit he deserved, but they also hadn't allowed him to come forward and clear his name when suspicion arose over whether he had tried to save his teammates.

On the other side, after Uchiha Mikoto finished cooking, she came to the quiet room: "Fugaku-kun, lunch is ready."

Uchiha Fugaku still trusted the Third Hokage deep down. He believed that under the Third Hokage's leadership, the Uchiha Clan might finally break free from their awkward position and integrate into Konoha.

"I see. Then, Fugaku, does the Sharingan have the ability to see through things?"

Before Mikoto could finish her sentence, Uchiha Fugaku interrupted: "Don't believe such baseless rumors. There have been claims before that the Sharingan originated from the Byakugan, but those were all fabrications by people who admired the Byakugan. The Sharingan is far stronger than the Byakugan."

"Is... is that so? I understand, Fugaku."

Uchiha Mikoto nodded, then lowered her head to eat. But in her heart, she was still puzzled about why she could see Uchiha Yoichi's naked body. Why was she the only one who saw it?

"I can almost manage the Cellular Activation of Lightning Release. Next, I need to increase the flow of Lightning-nature chakra to achieve the Lightning Armor effect. But that's just a matter of grinding it out over time."

Uchiha Yoichi thought with satisfaction. With the help of the transformer generator, he had spent a week mastering Lightning's nature transformation, then another week or so getting himself to use the Lightning Release Armor while simultaneously activating Cellular Activation.

Next, he would need to continuously strengthen his body with Lightning Release chakra, allowing his meridians, cells, muscles, and bones to withstand higher and higher levels of Lightning chakra.

This way, his body would keep getting stronger, and his speed and neural reflexes would increase as well.

The Fourth Raikage's speed was almost the fastest in the ninja world, only slightly slower than the cheating space-time ninjutsu, all thanks to Lightning Release chakra constantly raising his body's limits.

To train this nintaijutsu and avoid triggering the [X-ray Vision] ability, Uchiha Yoichi had barely left the clan grounds this entire period.

"After Cellular Activation, my speed has already doubled. If I push the Lightning chakra flow to its limit, my speed could triple. From now on, I should focus on taijutsu."

Uchiha Yoichi's ninjutsu was average. His hand seals weren't fast enough—at best, he could do three seals per second. That was enough to gain an advantage against ordinary chunin, but against jonin, it fell short.

Especially against jonin who specialized in ninjutsu; doing five seals per second was perfectly normal for them.

Strong taijutsu posed a major threat to ninjutsu-type shinobi. The Hyuga Clan had made a name for themselves in the ninja world precisely because of their Byakugan and Gentle Fist taijutsu.

And Uchiha Yoichi vaguely remembered that a rogue ninja from the Little Hyuga branch had nearly defeated the future Body Flicker Shisui with sheer taijutsu prowess. That alone showed the advantage taijutsu held in combat.

"With my strength improved, the next step is to get familiar and in control. A ninja always grows stronger through battle."

Uchiha Yoichi was starting to feel like taking a mission outside the village. He also suspected that the village's higher-ups were preventing him from forming a squad precisely to stop him from taking B-rank missions or higher.

Logically, the village leadership had no reason to pay attention to a mere chunin like him, and the relationship between the Uchiha and the village hadn't deteriorated to that extent.

But if they were advising against him forming a mission squad based solely on rumors, Uchiha Yoichi didn't believe there wasn't some targeted bias behind it.

"I could take a long-term mission outside the village and then check out the Underground Money Exchange—but only within the Land of Fire's borders."

His strength was already considerable. Now that he had learned the Cellular Activation of the Lightning Release Chakra Mode, his overall combat power was roughly at the elite level among chunin.

If he could develop the Lightning Release Chakra Mode to the point of wrapping himself in Lightning Armor, combined with the Sharingan, he could at least exchange blows with a Special Jonin in taijutsu alone.

If he could unlock some absurd abilities, he might even have a chance of killing an Elite Jonin.
