Guilt!
When Qin He heard the demon's questioning, his first emotion was unexpectedly guilt.
Its voice was low and deep, mingling with the roar of Dao arts, like the disappointed questioning of a great sage.
It seemed to embody righteousness and glory itself. Any disrespectful or irreverent words—or even thoughts—toward it would trigger immense guilt and self-reproach.
As though one had desecrated something sacred.
This was an enchantment casually woven into its words, capable of influencing one's state of mind and will.
Qin He silently recited the Pure Heart Incantation, only then dispelling the emotion.
Within the thick clouds and mist, the enormous demon parted the fog and slowly revealed itself.
It was a gigantic beast with a jet-black body, covered head to toe in bristles, with the head of a pig and the body of a man. Its build was immensely brawny, its waist and back slightly hunched. Muscles like coiling dragons rippled beneath the dying sunlight, brimming with explosive power.
Its tusks pierced the sky, its face was savage, and a massive Nine-Toothed Rake rested across its shoulder. Mottled dark-red stains covered the rake's body, while Demonic Energy surged to the heavens.
It was as though what rested on its shoulder was not a weapon, but an underworld unto itself.
Its blood-red eyes were round as full moons, locked onto Qin He. Even beneath the afterglow of the setting sun, they remained dazzlingly scarlet.
Behind it, a floating mausoleum rose and sank.
Its colossal body advanced like a mountain, parting the mist like a Demon God that had stepped forth from ancient times.
The wind stirred with its movements, whipping Qin He's robes until they snapped loudly.
"I have come to take your immortality." Qin He hovered in midair, his eyes calm as still water as he spoke
