When Qin He left the shop, he had four hundred spirit stones more in his arms.
After leaving the shop, Qin He crossed a street and went to the artifact shop.
This was the only artifact shop in the entire city. Its owner was the City Lord's Mansion. Everything inside was astonishingly expensive, but if one wanted to buy quality artifacts or magical treasures, that was the only place to go.
Other than that, there was only the underground black market and a few shops that smuggled such goods in alongside their regular wares.
Unfortunately, the quality of the latter was far inferior to the former.
Qin He had patronized them twice. Not only had the weapons felt wrong in his hands, they snapped with a single strike. Every time he finally came across a bit of income, he had to pay dozens of spirit stones back out.
Now that he had spirit stones in his pocket, naturally he had to get himself some equipment first. Leaving them in his pocket would not make them breed.
Backed by the City Lord's Mansion, the artifact shop was one of the few storefronts in Sin City that could still be called imposing. Never mind anything else—just from the junior shopkeeper's expressionless dead man's face, Qin He knew he was bound to bleed heavily today.
But there was no helping it. Sin City had only this one shop and no branches elsewhere. If he wanted something good, he had to come here.
The black market did have such goods, but not often, and it was easy to invite trouble. Nothing there was clean, and that was part of the price.
Other Night Watchmen could store artifacts and magical treasures within their bodies, concealing them so no one would know unless they took them
