The fatal wound lay at the very center of its chest.

A gaping hole pierced it from front to back. The demonic flesh around the edges had been completely charred black, and the core essence within seemed to have been forcibly gouged apart and obliterated.

The demonic energy around it was scattered chaotically, showing no sign of gathering again. Clearly, it had broken out from deep within the interlayer while wounded, exhausted all its reserves, and died of utter depletion after reaching the outskirts.
