Evan clapped his hands in satisfaction, then called over Stephanie, who still seemed as though she were dreaming.

"Looks like we won't be exposed tonight. Let's go. Back to the Great Arena, and figure out how to fish Mr. Jerros and Ram out as well."

Looking at the luxurious manor just one wall away, still brilliantly lit in the dead of night, Stephanie touched her neck, now free of its restraints. Even now, lingering fear remained in her heart, and her mind could barely keep up with Evan's miraculous methods.

She could not help hesitating.

"Won't this cause problems?"

Evan waved a hand, full of confidence in his handiwork.

"What problems could there be? As long as it stays unconscious and doesn't open its mouth, no one will discover that it has been swapped out. Didn't they all say that His Majesty Arion played hard? That he would never let a female slave see the sun the next day?

"Once it's dead and unable to testify, you can disappear perfectly reasonably. Besides, if we move quickly, we can slip away tonight and say goodbye to this creepy place for good."
