Ch. 441First Meeting

At a banquet celebrating the cure for the epidemic and the launch of the Mercury United Trading Company, Evan became the focus of Far Sail City's elite and met Olivia Amore for the first time in the Material World. Olivia kept their conversation formal while secretly intending to uncover Evan’s secrets, and the chapter ended as Duchess Nymph began asking him about the young ladies who had approached him.

  • Evan greeted Director Niekado, who praised his role in stopping the epidemic and discussed the trading company’s success.
  • Marquis Yuanfan welcomed the guests and celebrated the victory over the epidemic and the company’s official inauguration.
  • Young women crowded around Evan, asking about his sea adventures and inviting him to dance.
  • Olivia Amore approached Evan, toasted him for helping Far Sail Territory, and left after a brief exchange of formal courtesies.
  • Milan joined Evan with Apusuya, and Evan teased him about a lipstick mark on his chin.
  • Duchess Nymph approached Evan and asked whether any of the young ladies had caught his interest.

Ch. 442We Need a War

Sirius’s leaders blamed one another for the Kingdom’s financial, colonial, and military crises before Marshal Fafmann proposed a new foreign war to divert domestic unrest. In the Sark Empire’s capital, Poisonous Bee learned that Farnese planned to keep Prince Clement from sending troops by making him fall in love with her.

  • Finance, Army, and Naval officials argued over Sirius’s debt, inflation, unrest, shipping losses, and colonial epidemics during a fruitless Imperial Council.
  • Philip II listened as the council’s factions refused to accept blame for the Kingdom’s worsening troubles.
  • Marshal Fafmann called for a new war abroad, winning tacit support from Prime Minister Bartlett, Naval Marshal Bancroft, and Anduin.
  • In Saint Louis City, Poisonous Bee asked Farnese whether she could ensure Prince Clement would not interfere when Sirius put its plan into motion.
  • Farnese said Clement was madly in love with her, and Poisonous Bee recognized her as the Hermaphrodite God.

Ch. 443Venom?

Milan, Apusuya, and Olivia arrived at Hatlafa Port to test Evan’s new Animated Beast Hides, while Olivia reflected on her growing ease around Evan and discovered he was the White Knight behind the Privateer Fleet. Evan revealed that Milan’s living fungal-symbiote hide was his first step toward creating a Venom Army.

  • Milan and his party sailed through Hatlafa Port’s mystic lock, where sharks and Demonic Creatures guarded the island.
  • Olivia, now a Captain Officer, admired the island’s rapid construction and realized Evan was the White Knight who had built the fleet behind her dream.
  • Milan and Olivia tested their Animated Beast Hides in the forest and praised their performance.
  • Evan explained that Olivia’s hide came from an Extraordinary Xi Wu Xia Shark, while Milan’s living hide was made from a fungal symbiote.
  • Evan described his plan to develop the symbiote through further modifications and potentially equip ordinary soldiers with it.

Ch. 444Penicillin and the Voided Transfer Orders

Evan showed Apusuya and Olivia his Venom strains and a new penicillin-producing fungal colony, then set out with them to raid arriving Sirius merchant ships. Meanwhile, the Faletis Navy voided transfer orders after Iliya withdrew its Southern Continent garrison, leaving its fleets and stationed crews overburdened.

  • Evan offered Apusuya a Venom symbiote, and she explained that Lady Crow Yeher had grown powerful through epidemics and was building a Mourning Church.
  • Evan showed Apusuya, Olivia, and Milan Super Penicillium 3.0, which produced high-purity penicillin and could help counter diseases linked to Yeher’s plague authority.
  • Bess reported that Sirius merchant ships carrying luxury goods had arrived, so Evan took Olivia and Apusuya aboard the Morning Star to raid them.
  • Kaka used its upgraded shadow abilities to bring the group to the Morning Star, and Evan ordered the ship to set sail.
  • At Faletis Kingdom’s Naval Headquarters, officers discussed how Iliya’s early withdrawal from the Southern Continent had voided transfer orders and extended the tours of stationed crews, including the May Wind.

Ch. 445Flame Pennant and the Southern Continent

Doyle Griffiths led a Sirius fleet toward the Southern Continent, where he intended to win a campaign that could redeem his reputation and serve the Eternal Fire. The chapter outlined the continent’s colonial history and harsh conditions, suggesting Evan’s medicines might eventually make its vast interior accessible.

  • Doyle Griffiths’s fleet sailed south along the western coast of the Southern Continent, and his adjutant reported they would reach their destination in three days.
  • Doyle Griffiths reassured his worried adjutant that the Eternal Fire would bring victory and vowed to protect the fleet.
  • The chapter recounted how Heymar destroyed the Sanghai Empire while Sirius supplied and advised the Anuma people before the Pope’s Agreement formalized colonial expansion.
  • Sirius established scattered coastal and resource holdings in the Southern Continent, while much of its interior remained unsettled because of disease and harsh conditions.
  • The chapter noted that Evan’s medicines could overturn the barriers that had kept the continent’s interior undeveloped.

Ch. 446The Scarlet Meteor

At Treasure Tree Bay, Sirius forces attacked the Tulip Alliance’s fort and fleet, gaining the upper hand through superior ships and Grand Knights. As Kun Gang Taita charged toward the Alchemy Cannon, Gell drank Beast Breath and transformed into a scarlet meteor racing toward the fort.

  • Gell’s colleagues praised Evan Garratt’s achievements, and Gell reflected on his nephew’s success while preparing to advance after his garrison assignment.
  • Sirius launched a surprise attack on Treasure Tree Bay, where the Tulip Alliance was weakened by Iliya’s absent Grand Knight.
  • Griffiths suppressed the Faletis and Tairo Grand Knights while the Sirius ship Red Maple pinned down the Tairo Quasi-Legendary Battleship Five-Masted Peak.
  • Two wizards fired the fort’s Alchemy Cannon, blasting a Sirius Third-Rate Ship and threatening to turn the battle.
  • Kun Gang Taita charged toward the Alchemy Cannon, so Gell handed command of the May Wind to First Mate Perry and drank Beast Breath.
  • Gell activated Full Body Liberation and Iron Flow, and the Rhino Horn Amulet amplified his strength as he raced toward the fort like a scarlet meteor.

Ch. 447Raiding and an Ominous Premonition

Evan and the Dragoon Pirate Crew raided the armed merchant ship Molotov without a fight, relying on White Knight’s fearsome reputation to force its surrender. After claiming the luxury cargo, Evan let Olivia and Apusuya choose items, while Milan grew increasingly worried about Evan’s closeness with Olivia.

  • Olivia admired the Morning Star and praised Evan’s ship and ambitions as they sailed the Black Sea route.
  • The lookout spotted the Molotov, and Evan ordered Olivia to signal it to surrender and hand over its cargo.
  • The Molotov’s captain recognized White Knight and surrendered rather than risk a battle with the Dragoon Pirate Crew.
  • Evan and his crew boarded the Molotov and found valuable luxury goods intended for colonial dignitaries.
  • Evan invited Olivia and Apusuya to choose two items each, and Olivia picked a blue-black tourmaline button and a silk gown.
  • Milan watched Evan and Olivia’s warm exchange and resolved to steer Evan toward romance with other women.

Ch. 448Southern Continent! Go Kill!

Evan destroyed an evil spirit that had pursued him for the Cusco Temple’s lost treasure, then learned Colonel Gell had been mortally wounded in a surprise attack. He rallied the Storm Cape crew and set course for the Southern Continent to kill those responsible.

  • Evan recognized the golden-faced evil spirit’s demand for Cusco as a pursuit of the temple treasure he had acquired from Dead Bone Rudolph.
  • Evan destroyed the spirit’s golden face with an electromagnetically accelerated steel ball, wiping out its ship and Drowned Souls, though he expected it to revive someday.
  • After returning to Far Sail Territory, Evan received word from Rear Admiral Damon Brand that Sirius Fleet had attacked and Colonel Gell was dying from wounds inflicted by Third-Order Steel Knight Kun Gang Taita.
  • Evan ordered the Storm Cape crew to assemble and announced that they would take the White Shark Cruise to the Southern Continent to kill people.

Ch. 449Encounter on the Road

As the Storm Cape raced toward the Southern Continent, Evan learned that Uncle Gell had been gravely wounded and feared he might have lost control. Olivia offered to help, but Evan ordered her to leave the ship; before they could settle the argument, sea monsters appeared ahead.

  • Two pirate crews fighting near Bapdos Island stopped their battle when the Quasi-Legendary Storm Cape sped past, then withdrew to report its appearance.
  • Evan worried that Uncle Gell’s grave injuries might have caused him to lose control after using Beast Breath to fight a Third-Order Knight.
  • Olivia told Evan she believed Colonel Gell would be all right and suggested she might be able to help.
  • Evan ordered Olivia, using the name Captain Luo Di, to leave the ship at the next kingdom naval base, but she refused.
  • Beth announced that two wild narwhal sea monsters had appeared underwater one nautical mile ahead.

Ch. 450Old Acquaintances and Crossing the Black Sea

Evan’s Storm Cape crossed paths with a battle between the followers of the Goddess of the Black Sea and the Sea Monster Mother, and he destroyed the Sea Devil before continuing on. Fisher, an old acquaintance now leading the Raging Tide Church, gave Evan a protective amulet that inspired him to fly across the Black Sea; Evan departed with Luo Di, leaving Boris in command.

  • A Sea Devil and a Horned Shark fought in the Black Sea, and Evan’s Storm Cape destroyed the Sea Devil with its wind-and-current ram.
  • Fisher, whom Evan had once rescued from a Great White Whale, recognized the Storm Cape and thanked Evan for saving the goddess’s followers.
  • Fisher gave Evan a Tranquil Amulet and a messenger conch before returning underwater with his followers.
  • Evan realized the amulet could protect him from Black Sea hazards and decided to fly ahead as a thunderbird toward the Southern Continent.
  • Milan advised Evan to bring Luo Di, and Evan agreed before leaving Boris in command with Milan assisting.
  • Evan transformed into a bolt of lightning and carried Luo Di skyward from the Storm Cape.

Ch. 451The War Situation

The alliance struggled to recover at Fort Tydadis after Sirius’s attacks devastated its forces and seized key colonies, while its leaders faced uncertain support from potential allies. As they mourned Colonel Gell and feared another assault, Evan Garratt arrived at the fort on a giant Blue Eagle.

  • Rear Admiral Marshall Rupert and Rear Admiral House Sirik learned that the alliance had lost nearly a third of its personnel and that Atlan would not help while Sark remained noncommittal.
  • An intelligence officer reported that Sirius had captured the Land Gold Mine and much of Iliya Colony, including Greenfield City, while Fort Tydadis remained a vital alliance stronghold.
  • Marshall ordered care for Colonel Gell and arranged for his family to be notified and for his awards and posthumous promotion to be sent.
  • A giant Blue Eagle descended on Fort Tydadis, setting off the alarm and startling the gathered officers and soldiers.
  • Evan Garratt landed outside the fort with Luo Di and introduced himself to the two Grand Knights.

Ch. 452The Sun's Fire! The Moon's Light!

Evan and Olivia visited Gell, whose grievous injuries and loss of control had left him imprisoned in a glass tank. Evan used Inti’s Eye to heal Gell’s body, and Olivia followed with the Moonlight Stone to calm his corrupted spirit, leaving his recovery uncertain but showing signs of progress.

  • Evan arrived at Gell’s ward with Olivia and learned from the priest that Gell’s injuries and loss of control had resisted treatment.
  • Evan rejected Rear Admiral Marshall’s suggestion that Gell might be better off dying and decided to try to save him.
  • Evan used Inti’s Eye to restore Gell’s damaged body with Golden Fire, but the amulet did not change Gell’s loss of control.
  • Olivia used the Moonlight Stone’s spiritual purification on Gell, and the bloodthirsty aura inside him began to calm.

Ch. 453Pinky Promise

Evan and Olivia learned that Gell had survived his loss of control and would recover, though he might never become a Grand Knight again. In the Spirit World, Evan thanked Olivia, promised to tell her a story, and they vowed to seek the world's ultimate secret together.

  • Military priests confirmed that Gell's condition had stabilized and predicted he would awaken within three days, while noting he was unlikely to become a Grand Knight again.
  • Exhausted after rescuing Gell, Evan fell asleep, and Olivia rested after using her magic to purify Gell's spirituality.
  • Olivia and Evan entered the Spirit World and met at the beach, where Evan revealed himself and thanked her for saving Gell.
  • Evan offered Olivia a Heavy Cruiser as thanks, but she declined and asked him to tell her a story instead.
  • Evan told Olivia about the Golden Kingdom and the Thirteen Compasses, and they promised to seek the world's ultimate secret together.

Ch. 454Wounded Soldiers

Evan and Olivia joined the Southern Continent’s war effort and assessed the Alliance’s military intelligence before visiting a wounded camp. There, Evan offered to try to save Shan Di, a sixteen-year-old cavalryman whose infected wounds had left the priests doubtful he could survive.

  • Evan received permission to join the Southern Continent’s naval defense system and sent Crown Princess Livina a message about his plans.
  • Olivia reported that Kun Gang Taita remained at Luanda Cape while the Red Maple and Northern Cold Wind were active at sea.
  • Evan and Olivia learned that wounded soldiers from the Land Gold Mine had reached Fort Tydadis and went to inspect the crowded camp.
  • A cavalry captain pleaded with a Dean-level priest to save Shan Di, whose gunshot wounds were badly infected and whose condition was critical.
  • Evan entered the wounded camp with Olivia and offered to try to save Shan Di.

Ch. 455Awakening and the Knight's Road Ahead

Evan treated a gravely wounded soldier with penicillin and later reunited with his uncle Gell, who had recovered from loss of control but lost his Knight’s Path. Evan offered Gell a new Extraordinary Path and asked if he wanted to change.

  • Evan injected a feverish soldier with penicillin and instructed the military doctors on how to use it safely.
  • Evan left penicillin for the wounded soldiers and planned to expand its use after the results became clear.
  • Evan rushed back to the generals’ quarters and embraced his newly awakened uncle, Gell.
  • Gell told Evan he knew his Knight’s Path was over and praised Evan for forging his own path.
  • Gell spoke warmly of Olivia, and Evan changed the subject after noticing her embarrassment.
  • Evan formed a Golden Longsword from Gold Lions and lightning, then asked Gell if he wanted to change to another Extraordinary Path.

Ch. 456May Wind and the Dahomey Amazons

Evan sailed the May Wind toward Luanda Cape while preparing to help Gell recover and planning to ambush Steel Knight Kun Gang Taita. Near Sirius waters, he discovered his former classmate Kelson Augustine's ship under attack by Dahomey Amazons, and the battle turned desperate.

  • Evan reassured Chris that Gell had recovered and would return after a month of recuperation, then revealed he planned to give Gell Steel Knight Kun Gang Taita's head as an advancement gift.
  • Evan learned that Kun Gang Taita planned to leave Sirius territory within five to seven days, creating an opportunity to attack him.
  • On the May Wind's fourth day at sea, Evan's crew encountered thick fog, cannon fire, and a Faletis distress signal near Sirius waters.
  • Evan sent seagulls to scout and recognized Kelson Augustine leading the Faletis Fifth-Rate Cruiser Ivy against two Sirius warships.
  • Kelson fought the Dahomey Amazons boarding the Ivy, but four second-tier Headhunters overwhelmed the defenders and severely wounded his first mate, Dickens.

Ch. 457True Sniper Musket Master?

Evan and Olivia rescued Kelson’s crew from the Dahomey Amazons, but a Voodoo Witch Doctor helped the remaining enemy ships escape and cursed Evan. Evan broke the curse and disabled one ship, while Olivia destroyed the other ship’s mast with his musket.

  • Evan launched Olivia onto Kelson’s ship, where she defeated the Headhunter after Evan protected her from the Amazons and their leopards.
  • Olivia killed the Headhunter and drove the native soldiers into a rout while Evan healed the badly wounded Senior Knight Dickens.
  • A Voodoo Witch Doctor used a Voodoo Doll to curse Evan and propel two ships away, but Evan’s inner thunder destroyed the doll and killed her.
  • Evan fired his Thorned Gold Rose and shattered one fleeing ship’s mast, stopping it from escaping.
  • Olivia took Evan’s musket and shot down the other ship’s main mast before boarding the approaching May Wind.

Ch. 458The Prey Appears and the Ring

Evan and Olivia waited near Luanda Cape for Sirius’s covert operation while two Quasi-Legendary Battleships clashed at sea. Olivia traded Evan a tourmaline ring, and the long-awaited target finally appeared within Seagull’s Mind Network.

  • Vice Admiral Elvis challenged Griffiths to fight, and Griffiths accepted before the Northern Cold Wind attacked the Red Maple with its Wind of Winter.
  • Griffiths countered with the Dragon Breath Torch as Kun Gang Taita seized the distraction to depart Luanda with cargo ships on a secret mission.
  • The May Wind defeated the Dahomey warriors, and Evan met his former classmate Kelson Augustine before the Evergreen escorted ships back to Nigeria.
  • Evan and Olivia hid near Luanda Cape, where Olivia traded him the tourmaline ring and agreed to help upgrade it in the future.
  • Seagull’s Mind Network detected an unflagged Third-Rate Ship and three enormous transport ships approaching Luanda Cape.

Ch. 459New Sect and Maritime Royal Authority

Kun Gang Taita led the Steel Dragon and three cargo ships on a secret mission to retrieve the materials for Sirius’s planned Legendary Battleship, Maritime Royal Authority, while Evan’s forces attacked them at sea. After the cargo ships were lost and the Steel Dragon turned back, Evan’s Faletis ship blocked its route and challenged Kun Gang Taita.

  • Dean Clapenson, a cleric of the Kindling Sect, joined Kun Gang Taita aboard the Steel Dragon and pledged support for Sirius’s secret mission to retrieve the Maritime Royal Authority materials.
  • Evan tracked the fleet with seagulls and ambushed it with bombs and Laughing Spores, killing and injuring sailors aboard the transport ships.
  • Clapenson’s divine barrier protected the Steel Dragon and one transport ship, but repeated air raids overwhelmed the other three cargo ships.
  • Clapenson failed to locate the attackers, and Kun Gang Taita ordered the Steel Dragon to retreat after the transports became unsalvageable.
  • After enduring hours of harassment on the return voyage, the Steel Dragon found a Faletis Fourth-Rate Ship blocking its path, where Evan challenged Kun Gang Taita to come out and die.

Ch. 460Step by Step and Sniping

Evan lured Steel Knight Kun Gang Taita into a prepared ambush, using the May Wind’s crew and Olivia’s shot to pin down and distract him. Evan launched a heavily accelerated Golden Spear at Kun Gang, but the chapter ended with the Steel Knight apparently surviving the combined attack.

  • Kun Gang identified Evan as a wizard seeking revenge for the raid on Treasure Tree Bay and charged across the sea toward the May Wind.
  • Evan and Hecy created three cloud-bank images while Evan prepared his Golden Spear inside a Gauss accelerator.
  • Perry ordered the May Wind’s gun crews to bombard Kun Gang, who deflected the cannonballs and closed to within four hundred meters.
  • Olivia fired at Kun Gang’s eye, but his Hold Fast technique let him block the shot with his greatsword.
  • Evan bound Kun Gang with Shadow Tentacles, and Leg blasted away much of the protection on his armor with Shadow Elemental Breath.
  • Evan fired the accelerated Golden Spear as a red flash from the Steel Dragon struck Kun Gang, but he appeared to survive the explosions.
