"What the hell were those two things? Why did they feel even more troublesome than Agents?!"
Howard drove an off-road vehicle, a clearly visible slash wound across his face.
It was the mark left by the Gemini Virus during their fight.
That ability to undergo Infinite Hollowfication was simply too unfair.
Aside from their special ability, the Gemini Virus were actually slightly weaker than Agents. But with that trait, just like Obito's, allowing them to undergo Infinite Hollowfication and ignore all attacks, they had instantly become extraordinarily troublesome enemies.
If they had not needed to become tangible to attack, and been unable to attack while phasing to evade, Albert would never have found an opening to spray them with gunfire and buy time.
Howard probably would have died in their first encounter.
Now, the eight Reincarnators, Morpheus, Trinity, and the Keymaker were split among three speeding vehicles.
The Keymaker, Morpheus, and Trinity were in one vehicle, while the Reincarnators guarded them in the other two.
But soon, several Reincarnators noticed that something was wrong.
Holy crap!
Why weren't they targeting Morpheus's car, the one carrying the Keymaker? Why were they constantly coming after them instead?
The pursuers included not only the Gemini Virus, but also werewolves, vampires, and all sorts of miscellaneous creatures. They had all been picked up by Merovingian from the recycling bin, along with some of his own programming calculations.
So far, Morpheus's car had not taken a single bullet, while the Reincarnators' two vehicles had nearly been shot into sieves.
Howard could not help clenching his fists.
Damn it, were they trying to avoid accidentally hurting the Keymaker? Was that why they were focusing entirely on them?
If they had known, they would have taken that important plot character with them!
But then they realized that
