When Xu Yue and Neo sailed back in triumph, all of Zion erupted in thunderous cheers.
Of course, after the cheers came the memorial service for the forty-seven heroes.
Statues, monuments, and flowers were prepared for them, and cenotaphs were built in their honor.
Although only the last hero to die had left behind an intact body, making the statues somewhat inaccurate.
But that was not the point.
The point was that these heroes would live forever in the hearts of Zion's people.
"That should do it. Let's return."
"Mr. Smith, are you certain you want to join my team?"
After wrapping things up in Zion, Xu Yue brought Albert and Smith to the spaceport still under reconstruction, looking down at the bustling construction site below.
"Though I still know little about your world, I believe that even there, you would be someone capable of controlling everything with one hand. If I'm choosing, then naturally I'll choose the best."
Smith spoke calmly.
From those memories, he had already learned quite a bit about Reincarnation Space.
Through various comparisons, he could vaguely make out just how terrifying this man was.
"Fine. Your unique Authority is pretty good. In your hands, all sorts of clone abilities will probably be turned into something extraordinary."
Although Smith had merely entered the body of an Elite Reincarnator, and one of the lower-tier cannon-fodder elites from the Labor Knights at that, his foundation was not particularly strong.
But his Authority of creating and splitting clones—even allowing him to replace death with them—would let him reach the Veteran Intruder or even Elite Intruder level at the fastest possible speed.
Another example of someone rising rapidly through a high-level Authority.
So what if the Labor Knights had nearly been wiped out? Hadn't two lucky survivors emerged from it?
