Sam looked like his soul had left his body as he slumped in the driver's seat, no longer interested in Bumblebee's sudden self-driving ability.
He only felt as though something was missing from his life.
Mikaela, however, was different. She had followed her father around stealing cars since childhood, and she was highly skilled at judging vehicle performance and making repairs.
The engine in this car was excellent; she could tell that much. But that did not explain how the car had been able to drive itself!
And after ramming that SUV so hard it wrecked the SUV's rear end, this car was still as old and beat-up looking as ever—but it had not even lost any paint.
There was no way that was normal.
With those thoughts in mind, Mikaela got out of the car and lifted the hood. A highly futuristic-looking engine appeared before her eyes.
She was completely dumbfounded.
She had repaired cars for years, but she had genuinely never seen an engine model like this.
Mikaela's dramatic movements finally snapped Sam back to his senses. Remembering that something had gone wrong with his beloved car, he got out as well.
"Oh, it got into an accident on its very first day on the road. That's just sad..."
Sam was nervous about his car too. After all, it was his first car.
But when he saw the engine under the hood, he froze as well.

"I don't think lifting a gentleman's hood without permission is very polite."
The car radio suddenly switched through several channels, producing a strangely altered voice that spoke a sentence.
Sam and Mikaela were scared stiff, both of them screaming.
