"Peace! Cooperation! Fight them!"
As an explorer and the original female lead of the story, guide Lex had enough courage and resolve.
After Charles made his decision, she immediately carried the backpack containing the weapons over to the Predators and kept repeating those few words.
She had noticed that they seemed vaguely able to understand what the others were saying.
Seeing the equipment Lex offered, the two remaining Predators exchanged glances before nodding one after the other.
At first, they had never considered cooperation at all. Even after discovering that the Aliens were far more powerful than expected, they would not have chosen to cooperate with the weak.
In the original story, the female lead had earned their recognition by killing an Alien. This time, Johnson had earned their respect through the overwhelming power he displayed.
Predators revered strength. They enjoyed challenging the strong, and they acknowledged the strong.
These humans were not weak!
They were worthy allies!
Moreover, the Aliens' changes had indeed exceeded their expectations. That one actually could not die?
Although S-rank Johnson was suppressing it here, once the Alien fought without fear of death and relied on its acidic blood, even Johnson's Kagune regeneration was beginning to fall behind. He had already taken several mouthfuls of the concentrated plasma he carried to restore his strength.
If they had Shoulder Cannons at a time like this, they only needed to keep the Alien locked on and blast it each time it revived. Energy was plentiful, and so was ammunition. It was not like the assault rifles, which required vast amounts of ammo to kill it even once.
However, just as the two Predators began mounting their energy cannons onto their shoulders, an absurdly long tail suddenly shot out from the shadows and instantly pierced one Predator's chest.
