Clark being an alien was something Bruce and the others had all learned later on.
So when Zod appeared and started looking for someone, Clark was the first person they thought of.
The names did not match, but what if that was his alien name?

Clark did not hide it, staring blankly at the television screen.

"Hey, what are you thinking? You're not seriously planning to go over there alone, are you? I don't think they mean well."
Arthur, the blunt and burly man, spoke with characteristic directness.
"I know. I have something they want, but they are still my people. I want to persuade them."
A trace of determination appeared in Clark's eyes.
Arthur wanted to say more, but Steve beside him cast a Silencing spell, cutting off all sound.
Then the oldest-looking elder present smiled and said,
"Actually, I think you should consult the Supreme Mage at a time like this."
As the Net of Magic upgraded, Steve had successfully become a ninth-circle mage over the past few years. His admiration for that supreme being had only deepened.
The more he understood the profundity of magic, the more he understood the Supreme Mage's greatness.
"Dad Xu Yue said he has been busy lately. It's fine. I believe I can handle this myself. I'm already thirty-two, not some little kid who needs his elders to look after everything for him."
Clark had already made up his mind. Bruce said nothing more, merely patting him on the shoulder...
