When Shirou Emiya regained consciousness, his mouth felt dry.

Remembering what had happened before, Shirou Emiya immediately sat up and reached for the spot on his chest where the spear had pierced him.
There was no wound?
What was going on?
He remembered being stabbed through the chest by that terrifying killer. That suffocating sensation was still fresh in his mind.
If it had been an illusion, then why had his clothes truly been pierced? And the bloodstains were real too!
Then Shirou Emiya noticed a ruby pendant lying beside him.
"Was it related to this...?"
"Probably."
The response to his muttering instantly sent goosebumps all over Shirou Emiya's body. He looked up toward the source of the voice.
It was Xu Yue, the senior he had only met twice but remembered vividly.
"Senior Xu Yue?"
"Did you save me?"
Shirou Emiya remembered that Senior Xu Yue was a Magus. He had even said he would take him to the Clock Tower.
If it had been a Magus's method, then he could accept it.
"You tell me."
Xu Yue smiled, leaving Shirou Emiya at a complete loss for how to respond.
"The owner of that gem saved you. The Holy Relic inside your body also healed your wounds alongside it."
"The Holy Relic inside me?"
Shirou Emiya froze, having no idea what that meant.
"This was a gift Kiritsugu left you."
"And he left another thing in my care. To improve your chances of survival, I originally intended to give it to you early. But considering how confused you are right now, I think it's better to wait."
"When you meet the person willing to give you their arm, I'll place Kiritsugu's final legacy in your hands."
