They had received the signal that Gaul was preparing to land and had intended to infiltrate behind enemy lines. Who could have imagined that this entire place had already become undead territory?
How were they supposed to disguise themselves and infiltrate? Turn into undead?
There was at least an entire Death Knight legion here, the elite forces under the Lich King.
With Gaul's current remnants, there was no way they could withstand them.
"No choice. We can only sneak into the Blasted Lands and investigate the Dark Portal."
However, as they continued following the map toward the Blasted Lands, they discovered that the density of The Scourge was steadily increasing.
It seemed that the main force of The Scourge in the Swamp of Sorrows was in this direction!
After advancing further and climbing a hill, they saw the battlefield at the border between the Blasted Lands and the Swamp of Sorrows.
Frost Dragons ravaged the skies, continuously breathing deathly Dragon Breath downward.
Yet the ones locked in battle with The Scourge were a group of unfamiliar figures and High Elves!
Pure Holy Light flashed, all manner of arcane magic splashed outward, and there were warlocks wielding Fel Energy. Their combat lineup was exceptionally well-equipped.
For some reason, they were actually fighting against the Burning Legion at the height of its power.
And they seemed to hold the absolute advantage!
"Good! They're friendly forces!"
As long as they were enemies of The Scourge, even the Burning Legion counted as friendly forces.
