The appearance of Frieda Reiss instantly enlivened the atmosphere atop the wall.
Many who were seeing this Queen for the first time were visibly excited.
Especially the representatives who had fled from within Wall Maria.
The arrival of such an important figure made Borchart and the others nervous as well.
What was going on? Why had even this nominal supreme ruler appeared?
Could the royal family be planning to move against the Survey Corps and reclaim its authority?
So this was all a conspiracy, and that advisor was merely a pretext?
Many Survey Corps members found themselves having ominous thoughts.
It was not that they were being overly sensitive. The Survey Corps had truly never been treated well before, but now that Wall Maria had fallen, their ability to fight Titans had suddenly become apparent.
Their status had improved, but the number of people who disliked and feared them had increased as well.
Corporal Levi, however, remained calm. Since the Queen had spoken, the matter was clearly settled.
"Then it's decided. Petra, Borchart, and I will go down together. We'll split the Titan kills evenly."
Levi's squad consisted of more than just these few people. By saying this, he was clearly trying to avoid taking advantage.
Even so, even if the kills were split three ways, the efficiency of working together was still much higher than fighting alone.
Even someone as strong as the Corporal had vastly different killing efficiency when someone distracted the Titans compared to when he fought them head-on by himself.
Perhaps his exquisite skills could make up for it in the short term, but over time, the physical strain would be far too great.
