Whether it was Jiraiya or the Six Paths of Pain, both were greatly shocked upon seeing the matching Rinnegan in Xu Yue's eye.

"Jiraiya, what kind of look is that? I didn't steal this eye from them. They gave it to me themselves back then. I paid quite a hefty price for it too."

Under Xu Yue's treatment, Jiraiya finally coughed up the blood clot in his throat.

His face was full of disbelief. So that's why this kid was so strong despite being so young—he had a Rinnegan?

But Jiraiya was not the only one with doubts. The Six Paths of Pain on the other side stared furiously at Xu Yue, standing atop the surrounding walls and encircling him and Jiraiya.

"Madara said Uncle Yue's corpse was stolen back then, most likely by Konoha. So it was you, Uchiha Yue!"

Deva Path Pain stared coldly at Xu Yue, who was pulling out the Black Rods. The air around them grew thick and viscous with killing intent. Xu Yue had once joined Akatsuki. Though he came and went like a ghost, Nagato was one of the few who knew his identity directly!

He had merely followed "Madara's" advice to keep this man steady, turning a blind eye to everything concerning him. Yet he had never expected that the one who stole Uncle Yue's corpse would be him!

Still, even the Six Paths of Pain were deeply wary of this man who had suddenly revealed a Rinnegan.
