Xu Yue helped Minato’s forces turn back Iwagakure, then navigated the aftermath of Rin’s death, fought alongside Might Duy, and trained in the Eight Inner Gates and Sage Mode. After securing permission to reinforce the front lines with the Uchiha, Xu Yue met Kakuzu, who revealed the bounty on his head.

• Xu Yue killed Takagi during the Grass ambush, and Minato promoted him to Special Jonin as tensions with Iwagakure escalated.
• Xu Yue and Minato supported the Kannabi Bridge mission, where Xu Yue defeated the Force-sensitive Kui Xing and Kakashi’s team destroyed the bridge.
• Xu Yue began studying Sealing Jutsu and recruiting Reincarnators, while Minato left for the Land of Lightning front.
• Xu Yue reached Rin’s death site, confronted the masked Obito, and watched Might Duy sacrifice himself against the Seven Ninja Swordsmen before helping kill Juzo Biwa.
• Xu Yue collected Might Duy’s ashes for Guy, began training in the Eight Inner Gates, and learned basic Sage Mode in Ryūchi Cave.

Xu Yue rose to prominence in Konoha, helped Minato and Kushina through the Nine-Tails attack, and later tried to protect Nagato’s group while navigating Danzo and Hanzo’s schemes. The arc ended with Yahiko dead, Nagato awakening the Rinnegan’s power, and the Demonic Statue appearing against Hanzo’s forces.

• Xu Yue defeated Kakuzu, joined Uchiha Fugaku’s unit, and later fought the AB Combo alongside Minato, becoming known as one of Konoha’s Twin Flashes.
• Xu Yue protected Orochimaru from Hiruzen’s pursuit, then confronted Madara in his hideout and forced him to concede before Obito escaped with him through Kamui.
• Xu Yue returned to Konoha and became an Anbu advisor while secretly retaining his Root ties, then helped restrain the Nine-Tails during its attack and promised Minato and Kushina he would look after Naruto.
• Xu Yue recovered from the Nine-Tails battle, manipulated Bao Ji and Naraku into giving him mission items and scrolls, and was sent by Danzo to meet Hanzo in the Land of Rain.
• Xu Yue befriended Yahiko, Konan, and Nagato, then used a Wood Clone to confront Hanzo and help secure his offer of cooperation with Akatsuki.
• Xu Yue warned Yahiko that Hanzo’s invitation seemed suspicious, but Obito attacked him on the way to the meeting and Xu Yue stayed behind to let Daibutsu and Kyusuke reach Nagato.
• Danzo and Hanzo’s forces attacked Nagato’s group after Yahiko’s death, and Nagato repelled their assault with Shinra Tensei before summoning the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path.

Xu Yue joined Sun Lin’s squad for his Promotion Mission but pursued Code and influence in Britannia while secretly aiding Lelouch and Euphemia. After sabotaging battles and protecting Euphemia, he entered the hostage crisis with Suzaku and went to find the Liberation Front’s leader.

• Nagato summoned the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, and Xu Yue revived Yahiko in exchange for one of Nagato’s eyes before returning to the Reincarnation Space.
• Xu Yue became an official Reincarnator, joined Wu Pei’s Legion, and entered Holy Brita with Sun Lin’s squad for his Promotion Mission.
• Xu Yue left a Wood Clone with the squad and infiltrated Ashford Academy, where he resisted Lelouch’s Geass and earned Lelouch’s trust by caring for Nunnally.
• Xu Yue helped Sun Lin’s squad rescue Suzaku, exposed and defeated a Predator-armored attacker’s mech, and concealed his strength from Sun Lin.
• Xu Yue made a contract with C.C. and entered C World, gaining a temporary ability to influence others’ wills before returning to support Euphemia and Lelouch’s plans.
• Xu Yue protected Euphemia from Hyena’s attack, helped the squad complete its mission, and later guided Sun Lin’s team while aiding Lelouch during the Saitama battle.
• After Lelouch commanded Xu Yue to remain a spy, Xu Yue joined Cornelia’s hostage rescue, destroyed the electromagnetic cannon with a Sunderland, and entered the hotel with Suzaku.
• Xu Yue killed guards threatening Euphemia, left her in Suzaku’s protection, and went to search for the Japanese Liberation Front’s leader.

Xu Yue helped establish the Japan Special Administrative Region, defeated the Reincarnators at Kyushu, and absorbed C World into his Tsukuyomi Space. Back in the legion, he strengthened his abilities and began a new transaction with Jiong Jiong over the Heavenly Demon Secret.

• Xu Yue captured V.V. and defeated Mariana’s mech, then forced her to agree to share the remaining ruin nodes and enter the final operating system together.
• Xu Yue helped the Black Knights capture Cornelia, then persuaded Cornelia and Euphemia to establish the Japan Special Administrative Region and revealed to Euphemia that Lelouch was Zero.
• Xu Yue helped rescue Nunnally from Mao, and Lelouch agreed to make the Black Knights the Special Administrative Region’s military shield.
• Xu Yue defeated Bismarck and fought the assembled Reincarnators at Kyushu, then used Chibaku Tensei to create a tsunami that devastated Britannia’s forces and secured a Federation victory.
• Xu Yue entered the Sword of Akasha with Mariana, C.C., and Charles, then absorbed C World into his Tsukuyomi Space and returned after transforming humanity’s collective unconscious.
• Xu Yue received an S-grade evaluation, tested his strengthened abilities, and mastered the fourth gate of the Eight Inner Gates.
