Yu Sheng had actually wanted to emphasize that, after so much practice and adaptation, he had made considerable progress in "kneading" houses in the valley. The two stately rows of antique pillars on either side of the portal on the platform were the best proof. He wouldn't dare claim he could knead a luxurious hotel for the orphanage children, but making two rows of housing units was no problem at all. After thinking it over, though, he decided it would be better to prepare only the foundations for now.
The main reason was that the Special Operations Bureau had already prepared all the supplies. If he didn't take advantage of free stuff, he'd be a fool...
Of course, to demonstrate his craftsmanship, he still diverted some of his attention while leveling the foundations and made a building at the far end of the planned camp.
Soil and rock reassembled deep within the earth. Accompanied by a low, rumbling vibration, they gradually rose, weaving across the surface like living limbs. They piled up and thickened layer by layer, transforming into gray-white foundations, walls, pillars, and a roof. Then doors, windows, and simple decorations formed on the walls. Drawn by the commotion, Eileen ran over and curiously watched the large building rising from the ground at the edge of the wasteland. She turned her head and asked, "What's that?"
"Having nothing but a pile of prefabricated buildings in the camp would be a little monotonous. No matter how comfortable they were, it would still look like we'd come here to flee a disaster, so I built Little Red Riding Hood and the others a 'castle,'" Yu Sheng cheerfully explained to the little doll. "It can also serve as the 'office' of the 'Fairy Tale' organization—or, if nothing else, we can use it
