Deep inside the Special Operations Bureau, in the Director's office, Baili Qing had just activated the projection device in the room.
As countless small devices hidden in the walls, ceiling, and various other places began to hum, dozens of projected images instantly replaced the office's original walls. The scenes displayed on them showed various parts of Mist City.
Some screens showed streets and buildings shrouded in dense fog, while others showed the "Pollution Zone" covered in bizarre purple-black crystal clusters. Deep Divers in heavy Power Armor could also be seen moving throughout the crystal-covered area, collecting samples and setting up environmental monitoring equipment.
"The Holy Ascetic Society's appearance in Mist City has made this Otherworld, which was already suspiciously strange, even more suspect. The Special Operations Bureau has now dispatched a large number of elite Deep Dive Teams. Not only are they focusing on examining the area where the 'tower' once took root, they're also continually expanding the scope of their exploration of Mist City," Baili Qing said. "So far, we still haven't found the boundary of this dense fog."
Yu Sheng was astonished by the high-tech equipment in Baili Qing's office. After hearing her words, he subconsciously asked, "Are all of these live images?"
"That's right. They're transmitted in real time. Some come from the recorders on the Deep Divers' Power Armor, while others come from monitoring devices installed in various locations. Through shift rotations, at least three teams are active in Mist City around the clock. Their 'umbilical' devices provide additional bandwidth to maintain real-time communication between the real world and that Otherworld," Baili Qing explained. "Next, we plan to set up a semipermanent signal transmission device deep in the fog, creating a more stable real-world–Otherworld channel. Then we won't need to rely on the Deep Divers to
