The angel had fallen, and the gloom that had shrouded the Crossroads finally vanished. The Boundary Bridge and its accompanying spatial rifts had completely faded away more than ten minutes ago, and the spatial anomalies above the Crossroads' dome had settled down as well. As the great shield rebooted and gradually dissipated, the entire city began slowly returning from "wartime status" to normal.
The Spirit Fox System was restoring the temporarily inverted streets to the real dimension. Mobile units and special-operations teams carrying out missions across the various districts began inspecting the streets one by one, ensuring that no residual contamination remained along the boundary of reality. The deep divers began withdrawing in an orderly fashion, while making sure that no traces exceeding the "safety level" remained in Boundary City's reality.
The Council Tower still stood in the center of the city. Its upper levels had once been affected by the spatial rifts at the edge of the Boundary Bridge, damaging the tower's summit and parts of its curtain walls. Yet the melodious horn that had sounded from within the tower continued all the way to the end. Now, that horn had become a calm, gentle chime like wind bells. It was the signal that a full-domain "awakening" was about to begin.
Once all areas of the city had completely returned to the real dimension, the people would awaken from a collective daze and return to their normal lives as though nothing had happened.
While Boundary City's official forces carried out this cleanup, the "civilians" who had fought in various areas and helped repel the invasion also withdrew to their respective bases.
In Fairy Tale Town's plaza, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, Mo Ran from the Silent Garrison, and the others were the last group to withdraw to the valley.
