Yu Sheng's consciousness drifted through a chaotic void. This was the surface layer of his dream, the "shallow lake" where all those shapeless, fragmented impressions gathered. Normally, only some vague scenes from his memories appeared here, usually involving things he had thought about or seen during the day. But now, something strange seemed to have appeared.
Vast streams of iridescent light flowed out from The Depths and wandered above this "shallow lake" of consciousness. They looked like some kind of rivers, yet they had neither beginning nor end, endlessly cycling through The Depths.
Yu Sheng watched the flowing colors in surprise, but sensed no danger or abnormality from them. He quickly determined that this was not an external invasion. What was more, the colors gave him a faint feeling of... familiarity.
He recalled things in the darkness, and suddenly remembered where that familiarity came from.
The spatial-temporal rifts on the Boundary Bridge. When those rifts gathered together, the distant starlight and scenes from the edge of the universe blended into one. They seemed to look exactly like this.
The Boundary Bridge...
That magnificent blueprint structure quietly emerged in Yu Sheng's consciousness. Sensing something, he moved toward the stream of light nearest to him.
But before he touched that "rift," the stream of light trembled and faded away.
A realization arose from nowhere in Yu Sheng's heart: it had not yet taken shape.
He looked around in the darkness. Between those flowing spatial-temporal rifts, he vaguely observed branching structures resembling tree limbs, as if an invisible giant tree were unfurling in the chaos, supporting this enormous "river of dimensions." And all of it was rooted deep within his consciousness.
He had been immersed in this wondrous sight for an unknown length of time when Yu Sheng suddenly sensed something.
