Her new boss—a former Black Dot warlord, the owner of Black Stone Space Station, and a big shot with an elite guard—seemed to be at the very bottom of the food chain within the mysterious organization known as the "Inn."
Cat Head was utterly shocked by her discovery.
However, the new boss herself seemed completely unaware of this, and Momo soon discovered that the "dangerous people" her boss had mentioned were actually quite friendly. At least, those black-clad dolls running all over the place were very friendly.
They even looked rather cute—although their eyes didn't seem especially bright.
"Are they all copies of that Miss Eileen?" Momo finally couldn't hold back her curiosity after watching another squad of mass-produced dolls push mops noisily across the hall.
"Copies of a 'person'?" Luo thought for a moment, then slowly said with her arms crossed, "In essence, I suppose they're similar... But if you insist on making a distinction, they're more like mass-produced 'shells' straight off a production line. Eileen is an Alice doll, and these are spare bodies my boss created for her through some strange methods. Eileen is the controller behind all of them."
"Alice dolls?" Momo was instantly astonished. She raised a hand and gestured above her own head. "But the Alice dolls I've seen weren't this short..."
Before the cat could finish, Luo clapped a hand over her mouth. "Hey, don't say that in front of her! She'll fly over and bite you!"
With her mouth covered, Momo's eyes went wide. She could only nod vigorously through a series of muffled sounds.
Only then did Luo let go. She warily glanced around, and after confirming that the nearby mass-produced dolls didn't seem to have noticed what was happening, she breathed a sigh of relief. Then she pushed Momo's back.
