Watching the Mutated Golden Condor vanish completely from sight.
As one of the only three technicians left.
Teacher Huang could not help but let out a long breath.
He knew that they had ultimately managed to narrowly escape disaster by virtue of being difficult to eat.
Of course.
He also understood that the reason they had survived was perhaps directly related to the fact that they had not utterly enraged it...
If they had truly provoked it beyond measure.
Whether it ate them or not would not have stopped it from crushing them to death.
Moreover, thinking back to how two people had self-detonated at point-blank range inside its beak in succession, only to make it feel slightly uncomfortable... he felt that the departing Mutated Golden Condor was, at the very least, a three-star or higher [War Class Mutated Creature].
They had to know that each self-detonation bomb prepared by their team had power roughly equivalent to twenty kilograms of TNT.
Only one was needed.
To blow up an ordinary medium-sized building.
Yet that Mutated Golden Condor had forcibly endured such destructive force with nothing but the flesh and blood inside its beak!!
That level of defense directly meant it could completely ignore a direct hit from conventional-caliber howitzer shells!!
It also meant that, fighting normally, they had no way at all to break through the target's defenses...
After catching his breath slightly.
Teacher Huang quickly asked the captain, who had survived by sheer luck despite being badly injured and looking thoroughly bedraggled:
"What do we do next?"
"Wait until daybreak, then head straight back?"
After thinking for a second.
Although the mission had yet to be completed, the captain, unsure whether the Mutated Golden Condor would return, could only nod:
"...That is all we can do."
The other survivors
