Gao De gloomily poured the successfully brewed Novice Stamina Potion into small bottles, without the slightest trace of joy on his face.
After putting away the potions, Gao De felt somewhat restless, unable to calm himself no matter what.
Ever since Oliver had come calling that day, Phil's Herb Shop had stopped buying the Novice Spider Venom produced by their herb garden.
Their explanation was:
Recently, because sales of Novice Spider Venom had risen, the Elixirists in the city who had mastered this elixir had all begun focusing on brewing Novice Spider Venom.
Furthermore, the herb shop had been purchasing large quantities all along, and its stockpile of Novice Spider Venom had now reached saturation, so purchases were being suspended.
Though Gao De only half believed it, the explanation did make sense, so he let it go.
Since he had already mastered the brewing of Novice Stamina Potion, he simply gave up on Novice Spider Venom altogether, bought another twenty portions of Wild Wolf Glandular Fluid, and switched to brewing Novice Stamina Potion.
Yet he had not expected that when he brought the brewed Novice Stamina Potion to the shop, Phil's Herb Shop would still refuse to buy it.
This time, their reason was, "Starting today, this shop will only sell elixirs made by Elixirists affiliated with this shop. We will no longer work with unaffiliated Elixirists."
By this point, how could Gao De not understand? The claim about saturated stockpiles was all bullshit.
At its core, they were trying to force him to give up the herb garden, while also forcing him to join Phil's Herb Shop and brew elixirs for them.
And that was not all.
After that unpleasant parting, Gao De noticed some idle
