"An upward hane?!"
Seeing this move, everyone could not help drawing a sharp breath, their eyes full of puzzlement!
"He actually chose to hane upward?"
"This move is way too forced!"
"The board position has clearly reached this point, and now, even defending might be impossible, but... but the black stones still chose such an aggressive attacking method as an upward hane?"
Someone could not help swallowing hard:
"If this happens, the black stones are already thin, and instead of reinforcing, they are choosing a forced counterattack. If they fail to achieve results, they will probably be hunted down by the white stones... leaving not a single piece behind!"
Everyone was struck dumb with shock for a moment.
Although the white stones had formed a crushing momentum and were almost unstoppable, the black stones were playing quite tenaciously. If the subsequent moves were played well, there was still a chance of mutual survival.
That way, even if they lost, it would not look too ugly.
However.
Under such adversity, the black stones still chose to attack, still chose a final desperate struggle, and still chose to let out a final low growl toward the white stones!
Even though the black stones knew very well that the possibility of a comeback from this last-ditch effort was minuscule, what they were likely to face instead was the white stones' tempestuous onslaught, ushering in the final end of pure death for the black stones!
This might not be the best move for the current board, and one could even say that this upward hane looked like a bad move no matter how you sliced it.
Yet it did, truly, truly possess a sliver of a chance to open up the game, even if that chance was not large, and could even be said
