Beneath the gates of Kate City, Bob.Christine, the leader of the Black Armor Soldiers, stared grimly at the tall beastman before him. Almost instinctively, he placed a hand on the hilt at his waist and went on guard.
To be honest, he had never planned to draw his Apocalypse Sword at first.
The beastman before him was a top-tier prospect. For such powerful individuals, the mission issued from above was always to capture them alive and convert them into even stronger allies. He would also receive a considerable reward.

Unlike the Apocalypse Swords carried by ordinary soldiers, Christine's sword was also ice-thin, but at the center of its hilt burned a cluster of dusky blue flames, exceptionally conspicuous in the darkness.
Watching this through a screen in the distance, Maya narrowed her eyes slightly and said with a smile, "The teacher really went all out. It's one thing to equip everyone with an Apocalypse Sword, but he even gave them Ice Heart..."
In the Dead Realm, water was solid, while ice was gaseous—and extremely rare. The melting and freezing points of the Dead Realm were both exceptionally high. Only under highly unusual circumstances could one find vaporous or solid ice. Solid water had to pass through an intense freezing process before it could transform into flowing ice. Most of the time, it resembled a mass of dusky blue flames, but this gaseous ice could freeze most elements in the material
