"The same thing?" Diana's expression tightened. "Y-You mean that one?"
Andrew said, "Yeah."
"How could that be?" Diana's face turned pale. One had already nearly brought about the collapse of the Emerald Dream, and now a second one had actually come.
"It's actually not that strange," Andrew said eerily. "Those things survive by sniffing out fortune. Wherever there's a great opportunity, they'll be there. The opportunity here is big enough that it wouldn't be strange for several of these things to be drawn here."
"From the way you put it, have you seen many of them?" Diana asked quietly.
"No." Andrew shook his head. "That thing has always acted covertly. Although many records of it exist, this is still my first time seeing the real thing. I didn't expect to see two of them at once on my first encounter. This trip really was worth it."
Diana's lips twitched, but she immediately turned solemn again. "You said the one that came later would be more troublesome? Is it stronger than this one?"
"I don't know whether it's stronger than this one." Andrew spoke quietly. "After all, this is also my first time seeing the thing. I don't really know how to assess their strength. But the reason I think it's more troublesome is the timing of its arrival."
"The timing?"
"Look. The previous one had just been beaten by us to the point where it could only infect half the Emerald Dream, and this fellow happened to arrive right then. Was it a coincidence, or had it been watching us all along? If it's the latter, that means it has greater patience. And choosing to enter the fray at this moment means it's quite confident as well.
