In the distance, Vayne and Lanaia stared at the scene ahead in astonishment. They had imagined many things that might happen, but they truly had not expected this bizarre situation.
Countless blood-red tentacles suddenly burst out of Andrew's body. Clearly, it was a powerful Crimson Series summoned creature. That alone was nothing strange. As a top-tier lich, it was perfectly normal for him to have a summoned creature as a trump card.
The strange part was what happened next.
Before the summoned creature could do anything, a black cloak suddenly wrapped around the enormous tentacles. It clung tightly to them like living human skin and rapidly expanded. In just a few breaths, that human-skin-like thing had grown to the same size as the tentacles. A shriek of unimaginable agony shattered the vacuum around the Emerald Dream, sending chills down everyone's spine!

that enormous black hide had to be some kind of dangerous alchemical item.
"Blood Duke!" Vayne, who was widely experienced, recognized the thing instantly. Her face filled with lingering fear.
Fortunately, the two of them had been cautious and had not approached. Otherwise, if that thing had locked onto their life force, even with her skills, she was not confident she could escape.
After all, once that thing fixed its sights on a living creature, it would pursue it relentlessly until one of them died. Rumor had it that it could travel through space!
At the thought of being wrapped up by that thing and having her flesh and blood devoured, Vayne immediately sucked in a cold breath.
