"It was truly terrifying..." In a barren region of Mars, a gray-black troll covered in pustules observed the environment of the New World through a strange object. When it saw that fully armed squad of Bone Armor soldiers, it couldn't help clicking its tongue in amazement.
Nearby, Alice slowly walked over and looked at it with disgust. "Are those pustules on your body intentional, or what? Did you really have to make yourself so disgusting?"
"A shell naturally ends up like this if it isn't maintained..." The troll sneered at Alice. "Aren't you undead too? Don't you even know that?"
The word "undead" made the corner of Alice's eye twitch slightly, and her expression grew even colder. "What is that thing?"
Alice was referring to the grotesque object in the troll's hand that throbbed like an internal organ. It looked somewhat like one, yet not quite. Its entire body had a crystalline appearance, but approaching it inexplicably gave her the feeling of being watched, making her skin crawl...

As it spoke, the troll waved its hand. The image inside the crystal enlarged, and nearly ten thousand screens appeared. They showed many different perspectives: the Black Forest, the canyon, the Black River, and the location of that strange black army as it moved...
"How did you do that?" Alice asked curiously. To install surveillance across the Space Rift, there should have been a sufficiently strong signal, right? This guy had only been on Mars for a few days. Could he have secretly set up a signal tower?
