Outside the unfinished building.
Hu Shaoqing slowly woke up. When he discovered he was surrounded by darkness, every hair on his body stood on end. He thought he had been caught in the earlier battle and met an unfortunate end.
He instinctively opened his mouth and called, "Teacher!"
"Stop shouting. I'm not dead."
Lin Shuguang's calm voice came from the darkness beside him.
Startled, Hu Shaoqing turned to look. It was too dark to see much around him, but he could at least make out a blurry figure. He immediately moved closer and asked cautiously, "Teacher?"
Lin Shuguang stood up. "Since you're awake, let's get out of here."
Get out of here?
Hu Shaoqing's mind was still stuck on Lin Shuguang's battle with that terrifying humanoid formed from seawater.
Hearing Lin Shuguang suddenly say they were leaving left him feeling muddled.
He instinctively looked back toward the Alternate Dimension, but could not see even a faint glimmer. "It's... gone?"
"The space collapsed just now, so I brought you out."
Lin Shuguang's explanation made Hu Shaoqing swallow.
He did not think the Alternate Dimension had collapsed on its own. Instead, he thought Lin Shuguang and that mysterious "Sea King" had blasted it apart during their battle. He even imagined an earth-shattering battle in his head.
"So strong, so strong..."
Muttering quietly, Hu Shaoqing followed Lin Shuguang out of the unfinished building. The bright moonlight in the night sky finally gave them a little more light to see by.
Hu Shaoqing looked up at Lin Shuguang and asked cautiously, "Should we report this place?"
"I can tell you've never had the real world beat you down." Lin Shuguang shook his head. "The Dimensional Channel has already disappeared. If you report it and they can't find anything, they'll definitely ask how you can
