After leaving Demon Martial, Lin Shuguang went to Huang Qisheng's place.
"Boss, the Yang Family and the Guo Family are leading the push to change the price. They probably discussed it in secret. Both are using their construction crews and equipment as leverage. If we refuse, they'll pull their crews and equipment out immediately."
Huang Qisheng handed over two new contracts, one from the Yang Family and one from the Guo Family. He had signed neither.
Lin Shuguang looked calmly at the contracts.
The purchase price had been slashed in half.
He had asked about it before. Those five financial clans were not completely controlled by [Nightmare]. Rather, some of their senior members belonged to [Nightmare] and had secretly facilitated this partnership.
Lin Shuguang wasn't sure whether [Nightmare] was behind these two financial clans suddenly making a move, but that was fine. It no longer mattered to him.
"Tell them to come over."
Just as Lin Shuguang spoke, someone rudely pushed the office door open from outside. "Boss Huang, have you made up your mind?"
A young man in a suit walked in, followed by two unsmiling middle-aged bodyguards.
"Guo Maofan, from the Guo Clan's Fourth Branch. He's also the project manager the Guo Family appointed in the last couple of days," Huang Qisheng explained quietly to Lin Shuguang.
Lin Shuguang raised an eyebrow and looked over.
Guo Maofan gave Lin Shuguang a casual glance, assumed he was Huang Qisheng's guest, and paid him no further attention. He cut straight to the point. "Let's make this quick. I know my third uncle used to handle this project with you, but that's all in the past. Neither of us needs to make this ugly. The Guo Family only wants to make money."
