Thirty minutes later, Pei Xi arrived outside the Lin Family Shop with her younger brother. Perhaps because she had experienced Lin Shuguang's mother's hospitality on her previous visits, she felt too embarrassed to go inside again this time and called Lin Shuguang from an intersection outside the shop.
When Lin Shuguang arrived, the siblings were holding snacks. Seeing him, Pei Xi offered him a bag. "Want some?"
Lin Shuguang instinctively declined. "I just ate."
Pei Xi snatched it back so quickly that her offer seemed to have been mere politeness, making Lin Shuguang's expression darken slightly.
"So, what did you want to see me about?"
Pei Xi happened to finish her snack just then and turned toward her expressionless younger brother as though asking him a question.
Her brother fell silent for a few seconds, then shook his head.
Lin Shuguang watched their silent exchange before hearing Pei Xi ask in surprise, "How did you do it?"
Lin Shuguang paused. "Do what?"
Pei Xi clicked her tongue in wonder, looking him up and down. "I was worried the Corpse Worms would attack you, but you actually dealt with it yourself. How on earth did you do it?"
At that, Lin Shuguang immediately looked at the expressionless little boy.
He was not blind. Naturally, he could tell that Pei Xi had only learned of his situation after consulting the boy, which meant the boy possessed some extraordinary ability...
Perhaps he had a Special Spiritual Body.
As for Pei Xi's question, he asked without betraying anything, "Did you have some other method before?"
Pei Xi took a sachet from her pocket. "I've spent the past few days making this for you." She tossed it over.
Lin Shuguang caught it and opened it slightly, catching a peculiar fragrance. He looked up at her.
