As they spoke, a commotion arose nearby.
"Senior Cao!"
A man around thirty, dressed in a Tang suit, approached under someone else's guidance.
"So it's Senior Cao Wei." Seeing the newcomer, Zhao Yonghui immediately felt reassured.
"Zhao, where is he?" Cao Wei recognized Zhao Yonghui and nodded, his gaze calm. Yet beneath that calm, a ferocity lurking just under his skin was easy to sense.
"In Building 17. Wang Yuehu is the only one who hasn't been caught yet... Senior Cao, here's a map of the surrounding area. Please take a look." Zhao Yonghui handed him the map, then added, "Senior Cao, let me introduce you. This is Lin Shuguang from the Special Management Bureau's Ninth Division. This is Senior Cao Wei, the security consultant for the Nanjiang Martial Hall."
Cao Wei merely glanced at Lin Shuguang and gave a slight nod by way of greeting.
Then he lowered his head and quickly scanned the map. "I understand the situation. Wait here."
With that, he walked over alone.
"Director Zhao, isn't this... a little rash?" the fat, big-eared middle-aged man beside her asked hesitantly.
Zhao Yonghui shook her head. "Senior Cao reached Six Resonances of Bone Tempering three years ago. He's helped us in Huai City wipe out Demonic Cultivator organizations many times. He's powerful and experienced. We've got this."
Then she looked apologetically at Lin Shuguang. "I'm very sorry to have brought you all this way for nothing. I never expected Wang Yuehu to have concealed so much of his strength, either. But with Senior Cao here, there shouldn't be any major problems."
Lin Shuguang paid no mind to Cao Wei's cold attitude toward him.
Now that he heard Zhao Yonghui say this, however, he felt somewhat curious about Wang Yuehu.
