The pale sunlight of Snowfield Province's daytime streamed through gaps in the clouds on the horizon, crisscrossing through the wind and snow like careless strokes of winter, lending a subtle warmth to the frozen world.
The swaying snowflakes danced freely in the air, drifting down onto the snow-covered ground or being swept up by the wind to spin endlessly.
Amid the wind and snow, the two thoughtfully accompanied Xia Ya back to the Snowfield Province they had visited earlier to retrieve his lost luggage.
Xia Ya led the way ahead, while the two followed behind him at a comfortable distance.
"Good grief, it's cold."
Even after stepping onto the open snowfield, Lanchi couldn't help sighing.
"You can't handle this little bit of cold?"
Sid glanced at him with a hint of mockery.
"Why aren't you afraid of the cold? You're Tier 4 too."
"Good grief, it's cold." (Monotone reading.)
Aside from the two of them speaking from time to time, everything around them seemed utterly peaceful. Even though the snowflakes kicked up by the wind kept making a rustling sound, that persistent noise was simply the breathing of the snowfield.
Several minutes later, the three of them finally found the spot where Xia Ya had left his suitcase and began helping him gather everything.
There were little more than some clothes, a few books, and several small Magic Devices. Of course, there was also a map book similar to the one in Lanchi and Sid's hands, recording the terrain and environment north of the Protos Empire.
After entering the Northern Restricted Area, there were three provinces directly to the north.
Box Mountain Province was an important transportation hub.
Not far from Box Mountain Province lay Snowfield Province, which was centered around several large city-states. Qinsidun City was one of them.
