The Wilford Family was located at No. 25 Northma Street, on the northwest corner of Heart Meridian Plaza in the South Wantina Territory.
It was already noon, the time when their family ate lunch.
In the spacious and brightly lit dining room on the first floor, the midday sun cast gentle shadows of leaves through the windows, spilling softly into every corner.
A breeze occasionally drifted through the courtyard outside, carrying the faint fragrance of the distant gardens.
The long dining table inside was covered with a fine linen tablecloth embroidered with several exquisite flowers. The silverware and stemmed glasses had been arranged in perfect order, while dish after dish was gradually brought out from the kitchen.
The head of the family, Noe Wilford, sat at the head of the table with his usual calm and dignified expression. However, when he saw Lanchi, a trace of complexity flickered in his eyes.
What was different from usual today was that, besides Lanchi, there were two more figures seated along the side of the dining table.
Miss Tata sat beside him, her expression serene as she gently folded her hands over her knees.
Hughberlian sat farther away. Although she was unmistakably a noble young lady, she seemed rather stiff at the moment and was reluctant to raise her head.
The three of them sat in a row and barely exchanged a word for quite some time.
Noe could not help studying the three of them for a moment longer.
This was truly intriguing.
Noe still could not figure out how those three had managed to end up tangled together on the floor that morning. He only felt that they had been playing some very new kind of game.
Noe knew that he might have a slight generation gap with young people.
