The Canberra Kingdom was one of the strongest among the many kingdoms of the Southern Continent, and it had also maintained neutrality for many years.
Both the Southern Continent Shadow World Management Association and the Card Maker Association Headquarters were located in the Canberra Kingdom.
Its scale was even much larger than that of the Hutton Kingdom, a major power on the central-eastern coast of the Southern Continent.
South of the Canberra royal capital stood the Council Hall of the Kingdoms United Council, its grandeur seemingly challenging the sky itself.
The ceilings inside the tower buildings soared high overhead, decorated with intricate openwork patterns. Sunlight streamed through the delicate openings, transforming into countless golden threads that wove through the space itself. Mosaic murals were embedded in the walls, depicting the glorious history of the Kingdoms United Council.
In a sealed chamber on the highest floor, covered in barriers and metal gates, several figures sat around a round table.
The surface at the center of the round table was as smooth as a mirror, seemingly inlaid with the Star Chessboard and reflecting every ray of light in the room.
"How should we investigate this?"
The air was thick with contemplation. Everyone seated there wore a serious, focused, and even tense expression.
They included permanent members of the Kingdoms United Council, as well as representatives from associations, churches, academies, and other organizations.
