"Oh."
For a moment, Hughberlian seemed unsure how to respond. She merely nodded slightly, then walked toward the door of the bedroom.
She had heard Lisandra say that as soon as Lanchi arrived in Demon King City Nekaris, he had bought a mansion villa. It suited Lanchi's overly-adaptable personal style perfectly.
But she had never expected Lanchi to say that he had bought it for her.
For some reason, she now felt a little uncomfortable whenever she met Lanchi's eyes. Overall, though, things were fine. There was still plenty they could talk about, such as Nekaris's current situation and what the two of them planned to do next. They had only been making small talk just now and had not rushed into those topics.
Hughberlian was simply relieved that Lanchi had not seen her dream.
The two of them walked and talked. With Lanchi leading the way, Hughberlian began touring the villa.
Cat Boss's dinner still needed some time to prepare. On this leisurely evening, the two of them, who had not seen each other for a month, missed each other dearly and slowly began discussing what had happened to them over the past month.
Their footsteps sounded out in tiny, rhythmic echoes against the wooden floor of the mansion, one following the other. They became the only melody in the mansion villa on this midsummer night.
"Your good friend Lisandra lives nearby. If you want to visit her, you can go see her anytime, or invite her over."
Lanchi gazed out through the large row of windows and pointed toward a fence somewhere in the night.
Past the lawn stood a little cottage surrounded by flowers.
"Um, am I living here now?"
Hughberlian pointed at herself.
She still found it difficult to think of this place as her home.
