As soon as the dismissal bell rang, Hote suddenly stood up and said, "I still have something to do. I'm not studying today. Go home early."
With that, Hote hurried away.
Several classmates looked at Hote's back in surprise. In the past few days, Hote had pestered Suye to study with him every day after school. How could it be that the moment the rumors started, Hote no longer wanted to study with Suye?
Jimmy looked at Suye sympathetically, came over, and patted him on the shoulder. "Don't take it to heart. These kinds of rumors will pass soon." As he spoke, he ran toward the arena.
Albert secretly snickered, then realized he might have gone too far and said, "It's nothing. Gold will always shine—provided it really is gold." With that, he hunched his back and walked away.
Rolon frowned at Suye but said nothing.
Pallas kept reading.
Suye sat at the table and earnestly reviewed that day's lessons. Then he picked up his Magic Book and went home.
After passing through the woods and entering the main road, he saw the front gate of the Plato Academy.
Suye had only walked a few steps when four or five students in gorgeous white robes approached him.
"Isn't that Suye? He made such a splash last month. Why are you so downcast today?"
"You were quite eloquent in the arena. Why are you so quiet now?"
"Your Magic Rope really is impressive. I believe you didn't copy it."
"Anyone who says you're the Third Idiot, I'll be the first to object."
They burst out laughing at Suye.
Suye glanced at them. They were unfamiliar noble upperclassmen, tall and composed. They were either Iron-level or Bronze-level.
Suye said nothing and continued walking forward.
The students mocked him a few more times.
