Ch. 282Arriving at Ephesus

Suye was forced to divert from Miletus to Ephesus, where he armed himself with powerful spells and servants after seeing how dangerous the city was. The chapter left him at Ephesus’s slave market, preparing to find a way to leave the eastern coast.

  • A storm forced the Sea Dragon to abandon its route to Miletus and take Suye to Ephesus instead.
  • Suye arrived at Ephesus and, wary of the dangerous dock, summoned his servants and solidified Rock Armor, strengthening himself and his followers.
  • Suye spent the next day mastering all thirty-eight basic Bronze spells and learned from an inn bartender that Ephesus and the eastern Aegean cities were extremely dangerous.
  • Suye decided to leave Ephesus and went with his servants to the city’s largest slave market.

Ch. 283I Was Afraid One Punch Would Kill Him!

Suye searched a Persian slave market for a powerful bodyguard and learned about Acades, an injured warrior with extraordinary magic resistance. He agreed to hire Acades if he could survive a punch from Wang Dachui, and Acades emerged from his hut with a terrifying presence.

  • Suye noticed the Wild Giant cower before him, then told the merchant Arromo that he wanted powerful slaves and mentioned his business partnership with Princess Yixinna.
  • Arromo offered Suye a chance to hire Acades, a mysterious free slave who had defeated a Golden Warrior and resisted Silver magic.
  • Suye agreed to hire Acades for one Golden Eagle per day, provided they signed a Multi-God Contract and Acades endured a full-strength punch from Wang Dachui.
  • Wang Dachui boasted that one punch might kill Acades, then claimed he could kill the Wild Giant with a single blow.
  • Acades raised his head, revealed a terrifying presence that suppressed Suye's bloodline power, and walked out of the hut standing taller than Hote.

Ch. 284Acades

Suye hired Acades after witnessing his overwhelming strength and bought the Wild Giant Hulu as a follower. He left Ephesus with his unusual group, hoping to escape the dangerous city and continue his journey.

  • Suye tested Acades against Wang Dachui, and Acades shattered Wang Dachui’s armored arm with a single punch.
  • Suye signed a temple contract to hire Acades, who could leave at any time, and paid the deposit.
  • Suye negotiated to buy the Wild Giant for three hundred Golden Eagles, and Hulu swore an oath to serve him as a follower.
  • Suye asked Arromo about transport, declined to join a merchant caravan, and left a message for Yixinna requesting a Miracle Servant’s remains or a Miracle Stone.
  • Suye led Acades, Hulu, and his other companions out of Ephesus toward the South Gate.

Ch. 285Belly Trouble

Suye's group was ambushed by the Three Brothers Bandit Gang, but Hulu revealed his strength and killed them all. Wang Dachui forged Hulu a massive totem pole, which Hulu wielded effortlessly.

  • Acades said someone was watching the group, then left to go into the woods after complaining that his stomach hurt.
  • The Three Brothers Bandit Gang confronted Suye and mocked Hulu, so Suye told Hulu that they were trying to kill his emperor.
  • Hulu covered himself in layers of Rock Armor and killed the bandit leader and the rest of the gang with a huge log.
  • Acades returned while Di Aotian and Wang Dachui collected valuables and weapons from the battlefield.
  • Wang Dachui melted weapons and Suye's Wind Sword to forge Hulu a ten-meter-long Totem Pole.
  • Hulu lifted the Totem Pole easily, sinking the ground beneath his feet, and Suye asked Wang Dachui what kind of ability it was.

Ch. 286Aunt Tabesa

Suye learned about Wang Dachui’s Metal Overlord abilities and continued toward Miletus, where he reunited with Harnas and joined his caravan. Harnas introduced Suye to the group’s Silver-ranked companions, including Tabesa, who promised to look after him.

  • Wang Dachui explained that Metal Overlord could refine raw materials, forge objects, and enhance metal, and that he could make two or three thousand Black Iron weapons a day.
  • Suye let Hulu handle five groups of bandits, then traveled onward as Hulu grew hungry and exhausted.
  • Suye spotted Harnas’s camp and told Harnas about the events in Athens, including his clashes with Lake and Rolon and his arena exploits.
  • Harnas invited Suye to travel with his caravan to Miletus, advised him to use the name Suya, and introduced him to its companions.
  • Suye met Tabesa, who called him a mischievous child and offered to look after him in the caravan.
  • Harnas introduced Mr. Cecil, Sidrick, and Keri, whose appearance caught Suye’s attention.

Ch. 287Mage Killer

Suye shared an extravagant meal with Hulu and Acades at the caravan camp, discovering that Hulu could eat an astonishing amount. After Wang Dachui explained how giants inherited power through True Names, Suye granted Hulu the True Name Uranus.

  • Suye set up the Magic Villa at the camp, agreed to learn assassination defenses from Keri, and accepted Aunt Tabesa’s vegetable soup.
  • Suye fed Hulu roasted lamb, then served Acades and himself an elaborate meal; Acades broke several plates before mastering the New Cutlery.
  • Suye cast Bread Fruit Tree spells repeatedly until Hulu had eaten the fruit from a hundred trees and finally declared himself full.
  • Wang Dachui explained that giants could gain ancestral power by inheriting a True Name, and Hulu knelt before Suye.
  • Suye granted Hulu the True Name Uranus and named him Hulu—Uranus.

Ch. 288Legendary Battle

Suye told Acades the story of Zackrey, moving him deeply, and divine oracles descended as a legendary battle shook the western wilderness. After the caravan survived the disturbance, Aunt Tabesa continued to treat Suye with warm, protective care as they resumed their journey.

  • Suye reassured Hulu that invoking Uranus's name had caused no harm, then told Acades the story of Zackrey, which brought the old mage to tears.
  • Acades sensed divine oracles descending across the world, then went into the forest as a tremendous blast shook the land to the west.
  • Aunt Tabesa shielded Suye while the caravan prepared for danger, and Cecil reported signs of a legendary battle that had apparently ended without a clear victor.
  • Acades returned safely, and after the caravan confirmed there was no further threat, Suye invited him to sleep in the villa.
  • The next morning, Suye shared breakfast with Aunt Tabesa, taught her to use a knife and fork, and then the caravan continued its journey.

Ch. 289Demon-Breaking Mercenary Group

Suye studied how to counter mage killers while traveling with Harnas’s caravan, then agreed to accompany them to Red Mountain Town. As the caravan approached the town amid heightened security and rumors of a passage to hell, the old town mayor came out to welcome them.

  • Keri taught Suye how mages could counter mage killers and magic resistance warriors, and Suye took notes as the caravan traveled safely.
  • Harnas told Suye the caravan would detour to Red Mountain Town to deliver cargo and acquire magic ore, and Suye agreed to go along.
  • In Athens, Boris reported that a legendary warrior sent to kill Suye had been killed in a brief fight by a powerful hero, prompting Andre and the nobles to suspend their pursuit.
  • The Demon-Breaking Mercenary Group marched toward Suye’s location, sending a vanguard ahead to scout.
  • Harnas explained that Red Mountain had a rumored passage to hell and a history of sulfur fumes and lesser devils, while Tabesa stayed close to protect Suye.
  • The caravan reached Red Mountain Town, where the old town mayor came out to welcome them.

Ch. 290Commission

Suye and the caravan agreed to investigate a dangerous pit beneath Red Mountain in exchange for a valuable Red Flame Stone King. After discovering signs of a small Plane Crack to hell, the group prepared to descend, and Acades unexpectedly took Hulu and the Totem Pole into the cavern ahead of them.

  • The old town chief offered the caravan the Red Flame Stone King to investigate the danger beneath Red Mountain, and Suye recognized a valuable Fire Dragon Gem hidden inside it.
  • Harnas held a vote, and most of the caravan's Silver and Bronze Rank members agreed to accept the commission; Suye and Aunt Tabesa joined the expedition.
  • A townsman led the group to a vast, sulfurous pit, where Cecil identified the aura of hell and Acades concluded that a small Plane Crack had opened.
  • Cecil explained how the group could descend and climb back out, but Hulu could not safely enter the pit.
  • Acades grabbed Hulu and the Totem Pole and jumped into the pit, racing down the slope and into the deeper cavern.

Ch. 291Wang Dachui Renders Great Service

Suye and the mercenaries descended into the underground passages to catch up with Acades, while Aunt Tabesa stayed close and cared for him. Wang Dachui filled Suye’s Spatial Ring with valuable minerals, and the group pressed on through the tunnels as sulfur and infernal aura grew stronger.

  • Aunt Tabesa held Suye’s hand as they glided into the pit and explained that he reminded her of her child.
  • Suye summoned Di Aotian and Wang Dachui, and Wang Dachui explored the tunnels while the group searched for Acades.
  • When the group reached a fork with no tracks, Suye told them to take the largest passage, and they continued through successive forks.
  • Wang Dachui returned Suye’s Spatial Ring filled with minerals and gems worth at least 100,000 Golden Eagles.
  • As the sulfur smell intensified, Cecil warned the group about toxins and infernal aura, and Suye gave Aunt Tabesa three protective potions.

Ch. 292Who Is the Master?

Suye led the group deeper into Hell, where he protected Aunt Tabesa and revealed an unusual influence over Cecil’s Fire Element Man. At the cavern entrance, Di Aotian’s Flame Goblins attacked the demons with devastating fire, leaving the group facing the battle ahead.

  • Suye gave Aunt Tabesa and Harnas Magical Seaweed to protect them from poisonous gas, then continued onward with the group as Hell’s aura strengthened.
  • Aunt Tabesa told Suye that her family was declining and she had ventured out to support them; she offered him a place to stay in Miletus.
  • Suye sensed demons waiting in ambush inside a cavern, and the group prepared for an attack with summoned servants.
  • Cecil’s Fire Element Man knelt before Suye before returning to the front of the group, while the Fire Element Man and Ice Wolf both kept behind Di Aotian.
  • At Suye’s direction, Di Aotian threw his two Flame Goblins toward opposite sides of the cavern entrance, where their flames engulfed the demons.

Ch. 293Underground Magic Tower

Suye led the caravan through an underground cavern after Di Aotian pointed out a promising passage, then discovered a vast chamber containing a black castle and obsidian Magic Tower. As the group fled from the castle, pursuers closed in, forcing them to turn and prepare for battle in the passage.

  • Di Aotian pointed Suye toward a passage with an unusual hellish aura, and the group rested before choosing to follow it.
  • Suye and Harnas agreed that Suye would receive sixty percent of the value of any devil corpses he carried in his Spatial Ring.
  • The group entered a huge underground space and spotted a black castle with a ten-story obsidian Magic Tower; Suye saw humans, devils, and Underground Dwarves inside.
  • The group cast Wind Walk Technique and fled, but the sounds of their pursuers grew louder as the caravan tired.
  • Suye and Cecil decided the group should stand and fight, and the mages cast Fire Elemental Shields on their companions.

Ch. 294Magic Resistance Warriors?

Suye used powerful defensive and trap magic to help the mercenaries confront a much larger force of devils and Underground Dwarves in the passage. The enemy’s mages were stunned by his abilities, and the chapter left the two groups preparing for a fight.

  • Aunt Tabesa raised a powerful Fire Elemental Shield, and Suye reinforced the group with defensive magic and laid enormous traps across the passage.
  • Suye enhanced the warriors’ weapons with ice magic, while Keri used an invisibility ring to scout the enemy’s approach.
  • The enemy horde triggered the traps, and Suye’s Quicksand Technique swallowed numerous devils and Underground Dwarves despite their mages’ attempts to counter it.
  • The devils charged over stone walls and launched Silver-rank Burst Fireballs, but Aunt Tabesa shielded Suye and his defenses left him unharmed.
  • A Bronze mage shouted at the mercenaries for bringing so many Magic Resistance Warriors, prompting them to realize the enemy had mistaken them for something else.

Ch. 295Earth Death Fortress

Suye overwhelmed the Devils in the passage with powerful Earth spells, and the survivors learned that a Golden Mage was expanding a Hell stronghold through a Plane Crack. The group decided to abandon most of their goods and hurry to Miletus with two captured Devils to warn the Mage Tower.

  • Cecil and Suye used Ice Arrow Rain and Swamp Technique to cripple and trap the advancing Devils.
  • Suye raised a Stone Wall that withstood enemy fire, then its explosion devastated the Devil ranks and killed many attackers.
  • Suye’s Rock Spikes killed two Silver Devils and pierced nearly every other Devil in the passage; Keri killed the enemy mages while the mercenaries captured two Devils.
  • The group interrogated the captives and learned that a Legendary Devil Lord had sent a Golden Mage to occupy an old battlefield stronghold and expand a Plane Crack.
  • Harnas proposed three plans, and the group favored traveling light to Miletus with the captured Devils while leaving most of the goods behind.

Ch. 296Temporary Detour

After escaping the pit, Suye’s group left Redstone Town and traveled toward Miletus while the Demon-Breaking Mercenary Group pursued them. A detour brought the caravan into a clash between the pursuers and a devil army, whose forces were ordered to kill the Mage Killers and Magic Resistance Warriors.

  • Suye’s group returned to Redstone Town, left its cargo and oxcarts behind, and set out with only light supplies as Acades and Hulu remained missing.
  • A scout from the Demon-Breaking Mercenary Group found Suye’s caravan, and the group’s captain ordered the mercenaries to kill its mages, devils, and dwarves before reinforcements arrived.
  • Cecil told Harnas that Golden Mage Ronald in Longsong Town could send a message to Miletus, so the caravan left the main road and headed for Longsong Town.
  • The old mage completed the Golden Legion Gate, summoned three hundred devils, and sent them toward Ephesus City to attack the Demon-Breaking Mercenary Group.
  • The Demon-Breaking Mercenary Group met the devil army on the road, mistook them for Suye’s allies, and charged as the devils cried out that the mercenaries deserved to die.

Ch. 297Don't Move!

After the caravan reached Longsong Town, Suye bought the spoils and comforted a grieving Aunt Tabesa, then shared his true name and painful past with her. As Aunt Tabesa asked him to enhance her sword, a Golden Warrior ambushed Suye, forced him to surrender his Magic Rings, and revealed that she had lured him out.

  • The caravan entered Longsong Town, and Suye paid fifty-five thousand Golden Eagles to buy all the spoils while the others celebrated.
  • Suye found Aunt Tabesa crying, comforted her, and walked with her outside the town.
  • Suye told Aunt Tabesa his real name and recounted his hardships, including Lake's death and his complicated feelings about Rolon.
  • Aunt Tabesa asked Suye to enhance her sword, and Suye used his Metal Element talent to coat it with a toxic enhancement.
  • A Golden Warrior threatened Suye with his spear, ordered him to surrender his Magic Rings, and thanked Aunt Tabesa for luring him out.

Ch. 298You Also Think You're Worthy?

Suye faced the Golden Warrior, who revealed how he had manipulated Tabesa into luring Suye out, but Tabesa killed him to protect Suye. As she and Suye reconciled, Tabesa explained that Rolon had once confided how much he admired Suye and recalled the childhood trauma that shaped Rolon’s fear of losing friends.

  • The Golden Warrior told Suye that he had tricked Tabesa into helping him by promising to avenge Rolon and making her agree to become his lover.
  • Tabesa revealed that she had suspected Suye’s identity and recognized him as the classmate Rolon had admired, then broke down over Rolon’s death.
  • Suye told Tabesa that Rolon would have chosen to become a hero, and Tabesa killed the Golden Warrior when he threatened Suye.
  • Tabesa told Suye to leave, but he embraced her, comforted her, and healed her swollen eyes before they sat together beneath the moon.
  • Tabesa explained that Rolon had praised Suye as his only true friend and role model, then revealed that Rolon’s grandfather had forced him to kill his slave companion, Little Tom.

Ch. 299Lazy Ant

Suye spoke with Aunt Tabesa about Rolon and learned that she had wanted to protect him while avenging Rolon. After Aristotle saved Suye from a Saint Realm Mage, Suye explained his observations about ants, leaving Aristotle eager to investigate the Lazy Ants.

  • Aunt Tabesa told Suye that Rolon's father had opposed Liobo's brutal methods, and she realized Liobo—not Suye—was responsible for Rolon's death.
  • Suye and Aunt Tabesa sat together beneath the moon, sharing their grief until a Saint Realm Mage arrived to kill Suye.
  • Aristotle appeared, pursued and destroyed the old mage with his Ten Blade Sword, then asked Suye about the Lazy Ant.
  • Suye described how ants used Pheromone trails to find food and how some Lazy Ants ignored the strongest routes.
  • Aristotle said he understood and asked what to do next, and Suye suggested marking the Lazy Ants before capturing the hardworking ones.

Ch. 300Aristotle

Suye learned that Aristotle would take him to Sparta, where he would train and later join its army to earn military achievements and end his exile. As they traveled, Aristotle warned him that Sparta’s divinely blessed demigod warriors could awaken formidable bloodline powers.

  • Aristotle told Suye that Acades had broken through the Plane Crack and charged into hell, while Hulu was likely alive but in trouble; the passage to the Devil Battlefield collapsed as pursuers and mages fought inside.
  • Aristotle explained that the academy had ordered him to take Suye to Sparta, where Suye could earn military achievements in its army and use them to return to Athens; Thucydides had also forced God of War Mountain to withdraw its accusation against Suye.
  • Suye walked with Aunt Tabesa, gave her the Underworld Serpent and warrior Divine Power Equipment, and learned that she planned to stay in Redstone Town rather than return to Athens.
  • The next morning, Suye said goodbye to Aunt Tabesa and the caravan, then boarded Aristotle’s flying carriage bound for Sparta.
  • Aristotle explained that Suye would train at Sparta’s largest Gladiator Academy before joining the Spartan Legion and warned him about demigod-bloodline warriors blessed by Ares who could awaken their bloodline power.

Ch. 301The Arrogant Show-Off

Suye learned more about Spartan protection, God's Chosen, and the power of bloodline magic while Aristotle praised his play and revealed his own extraordinary abilities. Aristotle warned that Suye would face grueling gladiatorial matches in Sparta and described the strange habits of the other Academy geniuses.

  • Aristotle explained that Sparta's warriors could awaken Ares's protection and that God's Chosen included legendary heroes and demigods.
  • Aristotle praised Suye's play "Zackrey" and said he had asked Plato to recommend it as a legendary contribution.
  • Aristotle told Suye that bloodline-attached magic could bypass anti-magic restrictions, then bragged about his powerful bloodlines and vast Mana Wells and Mana Roots.
  • Suye asked whether divine power could seal his bloodline and whether Athenian nobles could identify him in Sparta; Aristotle said sealing it would require immense power and Sparta would protect him.
  • Aristotle recounted the Four Geniuses' punishing gladiatorial schedule and described how Euclid was forgetful and Alexander fainted at the sight of blood.
