Ch. 642What Was Bound to Come

Suye learned that the Argonauts’ expedition ended in tragedy and that the descendants of its survivors were now supporting him. He refused to decide whether to join the nobility and worship a god, then departed Delphi for Athens as the Revenge Temple prepared to ambush him.

  • Miltiades and Leonidas told Suye that God of War Mountain had dropped its Witch Hunt Order, but expected him to join the nobility and declare allegiance to a god.
  • Suye told Leonidas and Miltiades he needed time to consider, while Leonidas warned Miltiades that powerful mages risked conflict with the nobility.
  • After Euclid returned, Suye insisted that becoming a mage did not mean becoming a god’s believer; Euclid left without stating his own choice.
  • Suye met with Themistocles and the commanders, then Medels said farewell before Suye departed Delphi for Athens three days after arriving.
  • Leona and the Revenge Temple followed Suye’s carriage, planning to lock down space between Delphi and Athens so Plato or Euclid could not rescue him.
  • Euclid sensed that the Revenge Temple had locked down the space around the carriage and said that what was meant to come would always come.

Ch. 643Temple Arrest

Euclid gave Suye his Magic Book and flew off to draw the Revenge Temple’s pursuit away, while the priests trapped Suye’s carriage and demanded an inspection. Suye faced the Goddess of Revenge’s Old Altar as it began to determine whether he was the Defier of Fate.

  • Euclid gave Suye his Magic Book, warned him to keep it secret, and flew away after telling him to return to Athens and stay away until he reached the Legendary realm.
  • Great Judge Leona suspected Euclid was Suye in disguise and pursued him, while the other Revenge Temple priests trapped Suye’s carriage in a giant birdcage.
  • Suye stalled the priests and then emerged from the carriage surrounded by his companions, Magic Avatars, artifacts, puppets, and potions.
  • A Saint Realm Priest placed the Old Altar and a carving of the Goddess of Revenge on it, and the carving transformed into a huge Crimson Giant Snake that examined Suye.

Ch. 644The True Defier of Fate

Suye learned that the Revenge Priests had mistaken him for the Defier of Fate because he carried Euclid’s aura, and that Euclid was likely the true target. He stalled the priests to help Euclid escape, then seized the Old Altar and accused the Revenge Temple of colluding with Persia.

  • Suye proved his identity as General and learned that the priests had suspected him because he carried the aura of a Defier of Fate.
  • The Holy Domain Priest concluded that Euclid was probably the real Defier of Fate and that Suye had gained his aura through Euclid’s Magic Tent.
  • Suye confronted the Revenge Priests over their investigation and used his allies and domains to prevent them from pursuing Euclid and Leona.
  • Suye accused the priests of targeting Greek war heroes and colluding with Persia, then took the Old Altar into his Spatial Ring.
  • Suye named Andre as a possible Persian spy in the temple carriage, and several priests reacted to the name.

Ch. 645The Second Matter

Suye brought the Revenge Temple priests toward Athens while trying to get help for Euclid, who escaped Great Judge Leona’s pursuit at terrible cost. Near the city, Euclid revealed that Leona had severed his Thread of Fate and asked Suye to help him ring the Disaster Bell as his final wish.

  • Suye forced the Revenge Temple priests to accompany him to Athens, leaving Andre behind as the Magic Carriage flew east.
  • Suye tried to contact Plato Academy and his acquaintances, but the seal blocked his Magic Letters and his connection to Wang Dachui.
  • Euclid appeared on a badly wounded Three-Headed Giant Snake, and Suye jumped from the carriage to reach him while warning the priests not to attack.
  • Euclid told Suye that Great Judge Leona was dead, but a divine curse made healing him impossible because the Goddess of Fate had intervened and severed his Thread of Fate.
  • Euclid asked Suye to use his identity as a Secret Priest to break into the Temple of Medicine and ring the Disaster Bell, and Suye agreed.

Ch. 646That's good

Suye carried the dying Euclid toward the Disaster Bell on Acropolis Mountain, determined to let him ring it despite the temples’ opposition. As priests blocked their way, Suye invoked his authority in the Temple of Wisdom and unleashed his powers to force a path uphill.

  • Euclid told Suye that he remembered ringing the Disaster Bell and warned him that ringing it would put them in danger, while Suye continued trying to heal him.
  • Suye used a Great Teleportation Gate to reach the foot of Acropolis Mountain, then carried Euclid toward the bell tower with the Revenge Temple priests pursuing them.
  • The academy’s mages and the Pandion family learned that Euclid had killed Leona and was going to ring the Disaster Bell with Suye.
  • Suye ordered the Temple of Wisdom priests to kill anyone obstructing them, accusing priests of the Revenge Temple of colluding with Persia to slaughter Greek heroes.
  • Suye activated his domains and battle powers as he charged uphill toward the priests blocking the way.

Ch. 647The Disaster Bell

Suye carried the dying Euclid to the Disaster Bell and rang it, summoning the God of Medicine’s incarnation to cleanse a vast Death Plague gathering over Athens and across Greece. As Euclid vanished after recovering memories of a possible past, he left Suye with the Magic Book and a final promise, and Suye vowed to build a Euclid Library in every Greek city-state.

  • Suye stripped three Temple of Wisdom priests of their status, forced his way past the Temple of Revenge and Temple of Medicine, and carried Euclid into the Disaster Bell Tower.
  • Euclid used magic to ring the Disaster Bell, causing panic throughout Athens as the God of Medicine’s incarnation began gathering power.
  • Euclid told Suye about memories of Athens devastated by the Death Plague and of axiomatization and Elements of Geometry, then rapidly aged and began to disappear.
  • Euclid gave Suye his Spatial Ring, asked him to protect the Magic Book, and vanished after recalling their plans for a library and a better world of magic and geometry.
  • Suye rang the Disaster Bell again as the God of Medicine’s incarnation appeared and drew the Death Plague from across Greece into a massive black sphere.
  • After understanding Euclid’s final words, Suye vowed to build a Euclid Library in every city-state of Greece.

Ch. 648New Light

At Euclid’s funeral in Mute Port, Aristotle read a eulogy written by Suye that traced how great thinkers advanced humanity through questioning and new methods of thought. He ended by declaring that Euclid lived on through his work and that he had seen a new light, leaving the mourners looking toward the horizon.

  • More than a hundred thousand people gathered at Mute Port for Euclid’s funeral, which Laurence presided over.
  • Aristotle took the podium and explained that Suye had written the eulogy and asked him to read it.
  • Aristotle’s eulogy described how thinkers from Thales onward pursued fundamental questions and opened new paths for human knowledge.
  • Aristotle clarified that Suye had made logic and axiomatization possible and had been the true author of the syllogism and Elements of Geometry.
  • Aristotle declared that Euclid would endure through axiomatization and Elements of Geometry, then said he had seen Euclid’s new light.
  • Aristotle left the podium as the crowd gazed toward the horizon, where new light flickered.

Ch. 649"Drinking Hall Demigod"

Light, the new manager of Miletus’s Drinking Hall, challenged the mages’ contempt for Egyptian witches by arguing that prejudice was hindering their understanding of magic. He left the debate with Hamorro reconsidering how little he knew about witches’ beliefs.

  • The Drinking Hall Demigods debated whether Greece should make war on Egypt and condemn Egyptian witchcraft.
  • Hamorro asked Light to share his opinion, and Light compared the mages’ desire to suppress witches with nobles’ belief in their own superior bloodlines.
  • Light argued that the mages, witches, and nobles were each using different standards to claim superiority, and urged the mages to judge their relationship with Egypt more neutrally.
  • Light explained that his hatred of witches had kept him from studying the Old Witch Array Diagrams and witch theories, which later proved valuable to his progress.
  • Light asked Hamorro how he could presume to know what tens of thousands of witches believed; Hamorro admitted he had only seen several witches look down on mages.

Ch. 650Inheritance of All Humanity

Light argued that Greek mages should stop treating sorcery and Egypt as enemies and instead claim the shared knowledge of all humanity as their inheritance. The hall considered his case that the Norsemen were already advancing by embracing that inheritance, leaving the Greek mages to decide whether they would follow suit.

  • Light questioned Hamorro about the Egyptian sorcerers he had met, and Hamorro admitted that although some had wronged him, they were not all villains.
  • Light showed the mages how Hamorro had expanded his anger at a few people into hatred of all sorcerers and Egyptians, and Hamorro recognized the flaw in their reasoning.
  • Light argued that mages and sorcerers were all students of knowledge created for humanity, and proposed that mages claim the great sorcerers of history as teachers whose wisdom they would inherit and preserve.
  • Light explained that rejecting sorcery and Egypt made mages reject knowledge that had helped them, while the Norsemen advanced by embracing stronger magic and claiming humanity’s shared inheritance.
  • The hall fell silent as the mages and Saint Realm Masters considered whether Greece would keep resisting sorcery or become an orthodox inheritor of its knowledge.

Ch. 651Wisdom Distance

Suye explained Wisdom Distance to the mages at the Grand Library and revealed through his conduct that he was focused on improving himself rather than reacting to insults. After Hamorro invited him to join an expedition into a powerful Divine Power Plane, Suye heard the terms and risks but had not yet decided whether to go.

  • Suye told the mages that Wisdom Distance let people choose how to respond to insults, and urged them to focus on improving themselves instead of reacting to Egyptian wizards.
  • The mages concluded that Light was a newly advanced Saint Realm Mage and speculated that a Legend Master had arranged his position at the refreshment hall.
  • Suye continued running and studying the essence of magic, reflecting on his months of travel and work in Miletus.
  • Hamorro approached Suye and invited him to join an expedition led by the Saint Realm potion master Caska into a vast Divine Power Plane.
  • Hamorro explained that the team would have ten members, divide shared gains by contribution, and leave ownership of the Plane Heart to whoever obtained it.

Ch. 652Plane Disturbance

Suye agreed to join Hamorro and Caska's expedition to a Divine Power Plane, despite clashing with the Persian mage Termending over his background. When the plane began opening, Suye hurried to Nine-Leaf Square, where a guarded Magic Gate awaited the party.

  • Hamorro recruited Suye for the expedition after learning he specialized in Water Magic and Metal Element magic.
  • Suye met the prospective party members, including Termending, the son of Prince Benhala, and mocked Termending's low status among Persians after Termending challenged his unknown background.
  • Hamorro explained that Termending had become hostile because he had wanted to bring a friend into the party, and he promised that he and Caska would choose Suye if the conflict threatened the group.
  • Suye exchanged contact information with Hamorro and continued studying and managing the drinking hall for more than ten days.
  • Hamorro sent word that Caska's Plane Mark was trembling, so Suye went to the Seventh Leaf of Nine-Leaf Square to enter the plane.
  • Suye arrived at the square and saw a deep-blue Magic Gate guarded by six people and summoned creatures, including a large black dragon.

Ch. 653Unexpected Encounter

After Termending used Princess Yixinna’s influence to remove Suye from Caska’s team, Suye revealed that he had his own Plane Mark for the Whale Kingdom. As the unstable Magic Gate settled, he prepared to enter with his Golden Tiger King servant.

  • Suye read Hamorro’s letter and learned that Termending and his ally had taken his place on the team.
  • Hamorro told Suye that Elsa and Longjie had opposed Termending, and Suye recognized Yixinna as his old rival and business partner from Giant Hills.
  • Caska apologized to Suye, who accepted the apology and offered to sell him magical herbs.
  • After waiting for the Whale Kingdom’s unstable Magic Gate to weaken, Suye opened his own matching gate and silenced Termending’s doubts.
  • Suye summoned his Golden Tiger King and sensed that the passage would need another two or three hours to become safe.

Ch. 654Missed Opportunity

Suye declined offers to join temporary parties before Legendary Master Simeni arrived at the square and revealed his close relationship with him. Simeni warned Suye that priests from several temples had entered the Whale Kingdom, leaving Suye to consider who might be targeting him.

  • Suye watched his summoned Golden Tiger advance into a Golden Tiger King while mages gathered around the Magic Gate, hoping to enter the Whale Kingdom.
  • Simeni arrived at the square, and Yixinna expected him to see her off because he had given her a Holy Domain Magic Ring.
  • Simeni passed Yixinna and greeted Light as an old friend, then criticized Light's companions for missing a great opportunity.
  • Simeni invited Suye into a pavilion, where they spoke privately while the onlookers reacted to their apparent closeness.
  • Simeni told Suye that priests of a benevolent goddess had entered the Whale Kingdom, along with priests from the God of War, the God King, and Poseidon temples.

Ch. 655Godslayer

Suye received warnings and powerful gifts from Simeni before entering the Whale Kingdom, where he hoped to build a vast library for mages. In Athens, Andre learned that the Revenge Temple had launched a witch hunt targeting Suye and sent Andre’s father to lead part of it.

  • Simeni warned Suye that the Witch Hunt had dispatched two teams and wrote “Godslayer” as a danger connected to the Whale Kingdom.
  • Simeni gave Suye a damaged Dark Gold Sea Snail that could help ward off Sea Magic Beasts and his first Magic Source Badge, which merged with Suye’s badge.
  • Suye told Simeni he wanted to build a city-sized library in the Whale Kingdom, accepted his gifts, and entered a Magic Gate as the gates opened.
  • Andre told two Revenge Priests that he planned to pursue magic and avoid targeting Suye until he became a Legend, while predicting mages would eventually displace the nobles.
  • The Revenge Priests revealed that the Goddess had ordered a Secret Witch Hunt targeting Suye and that Andre’s father had already left as the Second-in-Command.
  • Andre condemned the Revenge Temple’s decision and asked what would happen after Suye was killed.

Ch. 656Water Elementals

Suye entered the Whale Kingdom and sailed its deep-blue sea aboard a powerful Water Ship, using his Shadow Hive and its bees to scout. After studying the legend of the Three-Colored Pearls, he spotted an island ringed by coral trees and watched by Water Elementals.

  • Andre negotiated with the Revenge Priest, demanding a way to force Suye back to Athens before he reached the legendary level and declaring that he wanted to marry into the Demigod Family.
  • Suye arrived in the Whale Kingdom, summoned a Heavy Water Magic Battleship, and deployed the Shadow Hive along with the Ice Wind Dual Queens.
  • The Shadow Hive grew into a formidable servant, producing Bee Kings and sending squads of Shadow Poison Bees to scout the sea.
  • Suye studied records explaining that only rare Five-Colored Pearls might attract the Whale Kingdom's Plane Heart, then set aside two Plane Souls as potential leverage.
  • After sailing for ten hours, Suye spotted red flags moving across the sea beside an island ringed with coral trees, where Water Elementals watched him from their rooms.

Ch. 657King's Envoy

Suye met Water Elder Has and learned about the Whale Kingdom, the Godslayers, and the Five-Colored Pearl. Has gave him a sea chart marking tribes and resources, while his Water Elementals prepared to abandon their island and warn others.

  • Suye revealed his Water Elemental priesthood and Giant Whale Duke bloodline, and Has welcomed him as the King's Envoy.
  • Suye asked about the Whale Kingdom, and Has said the Sea Elves had returned while the Godslayers hunted sea monsters and fishmen.
  • Suye asked about the Five-Colored Pearl and learned that he could levy Three-Colored Pearls but would have to purchase a Five-Colored Pearl from a great tribe.
  • Has said his tribe would move into the deep sea and warn other Water Elementals, then gave Suye a sea chart marking tribes, resources, and a Whale Bone Mine.
  • Suye questioned why Has had marked the Whale Bone Mine, which held the Giant Whale Duke's divine remains.

Ch. 658Whale Spring

Suye learned from Water Elder Has that Whale Country was an abandoned God War Fortress built from a divine Giant Whale Duke, and that the Water Elements had grown stronger by living near its God Lake. Has explained how Whale Springs could provide access to the whale’s body but were deadly, while Suye’s bloodline and powers offered some protection; the chapter ended with Has asking him to trade for Divine Corpse Whale Bone marrow and blood.

  • Suye questioned Water Elder Has about the Water Elements’ unusual strength, and Has revealed Whale Country’s history as a fortress of the Old Sea Pantheon that had been cast adrift after Nereus fell.
  • Has explained that the Water Elements had encountered God Lake and grown stronger from its leaking power, though they could not enter it.
  • Has revealed that Whale Springs could lead into the Giant Whale Duke’s body and possibly an unfinished divine city, but warned that their force and poison killed most who entered.
  • Has explained that Suye’s Giant Whale Duke bloodline, Heavy Water, and domains would help him survive an ordinary Whale Spring, but urged him to flee from a great one.
  • Has gave Suye three Three-Colored Pearls and offered to trade at twice the value for treasures the Water Elements needed.
  • Has asked Suye to bring back Divine Corpse Whale Bone marrow and Divine Corpse Whale Blood in exchange for their treasures.

Ch. 659Passing By

Suye spent days recording the Water Elementals’ history of Whale Country and uncovered secrets about the Old Gods, humanity, and traitors among Olympus’s gods. When seven Egyptian Saints approached the island, Suye calmly continued his research and questioned Has about Nereus’s final visions.

  • Suye learned from Has that Giant Whale Duke bone marrow granted a talent and received a Gold-rimmed Sea Snail for future contact.
  • Suye spent several days gathering Whale Country’s history and legends, learning that humans predated the gods’ creation myths and that Old Gods and Olympus traitors were plotting against the Olympians.
  • Seven Egyptian Saints arrived, including two royals wearing snake-headed crowns, and the Water Elementals prepared to defend their island.
  • Has warned the Egyptians to leave, but their Water Ship continued toward the island as they discussed Suye, the Water Elementals, and his four Saint Realm Shadow Bee Kings.
  • Has prepared to leave, but Suye ordered him to sit and asked for more details about what Nereus saw before his death.

Ch. 660The Sea King Suye

Suye used an overwhelming Water Magic Giant Wave Technique to destroy the Egyptian Water Ship and kill the Saint Realm Mummy Warrior Sekanisde, forcing the surviving Egyptians to flee. The Water Elementals then hailed Suye and revealed more secrets about the Whale Kingdom and the age of the Old Gods.

  • As the Egyptian Water Ship neared the island, Suye sent four Little Lights to unleash enormous, enhanced Giant Wave Techniques against it.
  • Sekanisde attacked the waves and broke through two, but the Heavy Water battered him beneath the sea as Suye's Water Ship rammed the Egyptian vessel and Shadow Poison Bees swarmed its crew.
  • The six surviving Egyptians escaped with teleportation Magic Artifacts, abandoned Sekanisde, and later saw his corpse surface after the waves finally stopped.
  • The Egyptians named Suye the Sea King as they turned away, while Water Elder Has and the Water Elementals stared in disbelief at his power.
  • The Water Elementals prostrated themselves before Suye, crowded around him, and revealed more of the Whale Kingdom's secrets.

Ch. 661Merfolk Tribe

Suye left the Water Elementals after their farewell gifts revealed their affection, then used their sea chart to sail to the Black Coral merfolk tribe. When the tribe attacked and refused his demands, Suye killed its ordinary members with poison magic, leaving the five Holy Domain merfolk to bring out a giant statue.

  • The Water Elementals snapped off their tail tips and offered them to Suye as expressions of love and admiration, but he boarded the Water Ship and left.
  • Using information from the Water Elementals, Suye learned about nearby tribes, sea-beast territories, treasures, and four possible Whale Bone Mine locations, then headed for the Black Coral tribe.
  • Thousands of merfolk attacked Suye near their island, and he killed many with Whirlpool Hunt spells after they ignored his warning.
  • A Holy Domain merfolk apologized and offered compensation, but Suye demanded the tribe's Five-Colored Pearls and Merfolk Idol.
  • When the merfolk insulted him and fled his Lake of Deadly Poison spells, Suye released four Holy Domain avatars that poisoned every merfolk below Holy Domain.
  • The five surviving Holy Domain merfolk fled into a cave and pushed out a ten-meter-tall statue as Suye approached with his Shadow Bees.
