Ch. 682Sea of Mountains

Suye studied the Sea of Mountains and learned that it held the remnants of a divine battle, dangerous Sea Magic Beasts, and a vast Whale Bone Mine. He chose to lead a small expedition into the region, where three enormous Legendary octopus Sea Magic Beasts approached them.

  • Sowo transferred his records about the Sea of Mountains to Suye, revealing the danger posed by its savage Sea Magic Beasts and the secrets left by Poseidon's Sea Emperor Trident.
  • Suye decided to explore the Whale Bone Mine and said Sanctuary-ranked members who refused would lose permanent priority-selection rights.
  • Suye lent Hamorro the Azure Heart so he could join the expedition, while Elsa and her brother confirmed they could go as well.
  • Suye selected Sanctuary-ranked members from the Merfolk, Water Elementals, and Bone Whale Race, took three Sanctuary Sea Magic Beasts, and sailed into the Sea of Mountains.
  • Three Legendary octopus-type Sea Magic Beasts, two large and one small, drifted toward Suye's party.

Ch. 683The Hierarchy of the Gods

Suye led the Water Ship into the Sea of Mountains, where his bloodline and the Dark Gold Sea Snail kept most Sea Magic Beasts from attacking. As Sowo explained the hierarchy of the gods, the group began gathering valuable whale-bone fragments and continued deeper into the dangerous waters.

  • Suye displayed his Water Elemental and Giant Whale Duke bloodlines and wore the Dark Gold Sea Snail, deterring a three-headed Sea Magic Beast from approaching the ship.
  • Sowo explained the ranks of gods and described the powers and fates of Pentos, his children, and the current Sea Gods; Suye reasoned that Poseidon had killed Nereus to prove his break with the Old Gods.
  • Suye and Sowo explained that the Dark Gold Sea Snail, Suye's bloodline, and the Sea God's blessing would help protect the group while they explored the Whale Bone Mine.
  • The group found and collected a whale-bone fragment, then continued searching as Suye used the Altar Eye to locate more fragments and Sea Magic Beasts occasionally snatched some away.
  • After a day in the Sea of Mountains, the group had collected twenty whale-bone fragments worth more than twenty million Golden Eagles, while Sea Magic Beasts crowded the waters around them.

Ch. 684Bait?

Suye drove the Water Ship into a feeding frenzy at Skeleton Mountain, retrieved Whale God's Blood, and escaped the pursuing Sea Magic Beasts. The party reached safety, where Suye revealed he had collected about ten drops of the valuable blood.

  • The party reached Skeleton Mountain and saw countless Sea Magic Beasts gathering around the remains of a dead whale.
  • Sea Magic Beasts fought over Whale God's Blood, bones, and meat, and the beasts that got nothing attacked the ones carrying food.
  • Suye accelerated the Water Ship into the murky waters, used his unusual speed to retrieve treasure, and returned to the ship.
  • Suye and Sowo helped the party evade the pursuing Sea Magic Beasts until they reached a safe part of the seafloor.
  • Shark asked what Suye had taken, and Suye revealed he had collected around ten drops of Whale God's Blood.

Ch. 685Turning the Conversation

Suye and Sowo agreed to hunt for treasure together in the Whale Bone Mine after Suye sent the others to safety. After three days of discussing magic, they sensed a disturbance and began searching the mine for its source.

  • Suye claimed first choice of the Whale God's Blood and offered to compensate the others with jade and jewelry.
  • Sowo agreed to join Suye, and they decided the rest of the group would either return to safety or wait elsewhere for a share of any treasure.
  • Suye and Sowo escorted the group to the edge of the Sea of Mountains, left White Bone to protect them, and returned to the Whale Bone Mine.
  • Suye and Sowo discussed their experience with Water Magic while watching the Sea Magic Beasts for three days.
  • The seafloor trembled, and Suye put away the Water Ship before flying above the mine to search for clues with his perception abilities.

Ch. 686Three Murky Hollows

Suye and Sowo hunted treasures in the Whale Bone Mine while the Sea Magic Beasts grew increasingly hostile. When the skull-shaped mountains’ three basins became murky, Suye chose the left eye socket and found a valuable deep-blue crystal, but the other remains there yielded little.

  • Suye snatched a cracked Whale God Bone from the seabed and escaped the Sea Magic Beasts with Sowo.
  • Suye and Sowo returned repeatedly to the Whale Bone Mine, where Suye secured treasures and the Sea Magic Beasts’ patience wore thin.
  • Sowo warned that the Sea Magic Beasts might unite against them, and Suye agreed to wait for a final opportunity.
  • Suye noticed the Sea Magic Beasts preparing for battle, and he and Sowo waited for the next eruption.
  • When the skull’s eye sockets and mouth became murky, Suye chose the left eye socket over the mouth basin and pulled out a meter-long deep-blue crystal.
  • Suye searched the eye socket for more treasure but found only small fragments and drops of Whale God’s Blood.

Ch. 687The Arm of God

Suye and Sowo discovered and claimed a divine arm bearing two rings in the Whale Bone Mine, then fled a massive Sea Magic Beast pursuit. After Sowo used Frost Star Trace to freeze the sea and stop their pursuers, they headed toward Black Coral City, where a white streak emerged from a Teleportation Gate and turned toward their ship.

  • Suye and Sowo saw Sea Magic Beasts battle at Mouth Basin, then discovered a ten-meter blue-and-gold arm with two rings beneath the Whale Bone Mine.
  • Sowo touched the arm, but Suye made it vanish and claimed it, triggering the Sea Magic Beasts to pursue them.
  • Suye and Sowo fought off the pursuing horde with magic, and Suye used Divine Might Force to crush three Giant Clam Sea Beasts.
  • Suye gave Sowo Frost Star Trace, and Sowo froze the sea for hundreds of kilometers, prompting the remaining Hero Sea Beasts to turn back.
  • Suye and Sowo agreed to return to Black Coral City and divide the Spoils of War, then sailed toward Shark and the others.
  • A deep-blue Teleportation Gate appeared in the sky, and a white streak emerged and turned east toward Suye's Water Ship.

Ch. 688Medea's Story

Suye and Sowo rescued the legendary mage Medea after a divine attack and escaped with her aboard a Water Ship. As Medea remained unconscious, Suye recounted her troubled history, and Sowo asked about the Golden Fleece Expedition and the divine war.

  • A Legendary priest of the Godking Palace struck Medea with the Divine Might Scepter, and Suye and Sowo survived the blast using protective magic.
  • Sowo caught the unconscious Medea, and Suye erased their traces, fled by sea, and sent orders for the others to return to Black Coral Island under Shark's leadership.
  • Suye and Sowo recognized Medea through her Dragon Caller Necklace, and Suye told Sowo how she loved Jason, helped him steal the Golden Fleece, and was later abandoned by him.
  • Suye described rumors that Medea killed Jason's new bride and their sons, while noting that Jason's former expedition companions never condemned or pursued her.
  • Sowo defended Medea and asked Suye to recount the Golden Fleece Expedition; afterward, he asked about the divine war, the gods, the heroes, and Paradise Island.

Ch. 689The Medea Who Awoke

Suye healed Medea while he and Sowo discussed the Godking Palace’s attack and how to hide her. After Sowo revealed his troubled past over food and wine, Medea woke up and demanded that Suye call her little sister.

  • Suye used the Heavenly Fortress and repeated Divine Healing spells to restore Medea, while Sowo questioned him about his hidden abilities.
  • Suye pressed Sowo about why the Godking Palace had attacked Medea, but Sowo refused to share his suspicions and urged him to take her to Miletus.
  • Sowo said Thales could protect Medea, and Suye considered where they could hide from their pursuers in the Whale Kingdom.
  • Sowo noticed Suye’s transformation disguise, then got drunk and revealed that he had abandoned his beloved, faked his death, and lost control of his family’s business.
  • The next day, Suye treated Medea again, and she woke before he finished healing her.
  • Medea called Sowo Grandpa Sowo and told Suye to call her little sister.

Ch. 690Touched

Suye and Medea compared what they knew about the gods’ manipulation of heroes and concluded that the gods used both dead heroes as warriors and living people as vessels. They exchanged records that could clarify the fate of Medea’s sons, while Medea and Sowo reacted to Suye’s extensive research and learned he was only eighteen.

  • Medea revealed that the Godking Palace hunted her after she killed someone important to it, and Suye deduced that her sons had been part of its plans.
  • Medea said the heroes’ memories of the Golden Fleece Expedition’s final period had been erased, and she and Suye exchanged information about the Old Era.
  • Suye theorized that the gods arranged heroes’ deaths to create divine warriors and used living people as vessels for Divine Descent Bodies.
  • Suye shared his records and statistics on Greek heroes, and Medea and Sowo were disturbed by what they found.
  • Medea confirmed that Suye was eighteen and teased him about his childhood, while he tried to dismiss her claims.

Ch. 691Ghost Ship

Suye, Sowo, and Medea discussed the Godking Palace’s hunt and Medea’s connection to the Ghost Ship. Medea confirmed she had come to Whale Kingdom seeking the ship, which the Godslayer could partly control, and the chapter left Suye wondering whether her dead sons were aboard it.

  • Sowo questioned Suye’s identity, then recognized him as the author of Elements of Geometry and Syllogism after Medea vouched for him.
  • Medea warned Suye that the old gods and the Magic World were allied, gave him her Magic Source Badge, and revealed that her teacher had died.
  • Medea said the Godking Palace called itself the Sweepers and intended to clean Whale Kingdom of everyone there, while Sowo said Suye had already summoned the Kraken and stopped a threatened war.
  • Medea acknowledged that she had ended her children’s lives to spare them their fates and that the Godking Palace had hunted her after discovering her purpose.
  • Sowo revealed that the Ghost Ship stayed in Whale Kingdom and that the Godslayer could partly control it, prompting Suye to suspect Medea had come to find her sons’ undead souls.

Ch. 692The Blind Man

Medea explained how Heavenly Marks shaped her family’s fate and led to her sons’ deaths, Jason’s suicide, and her persecution by the temples. Suye proposed using the Sea Magic Beasts against the Godking Palace’s pursuers, while Medea sought clues about the Ghost Ship and Godslayers; the chapter ended with the group unable to open the Void Dragon Ring.

  • Sowo explained that Godslayers could arise from people marked by the gods and said Medea was searching for her son.
  • Medea recounted how a blind man gave her family Heavenly Marks, then described how she killed Jason’s lover and their children before Jason took his own life.
  • Medea said the Revenge Temple and Godking Palace had pursued her, and Sowo noted that Suye had saved her three times.
  • Suye proposed luring the Godking Palace’s forces into the Whale Bone Mine Area so the Sea Magic Beasts could weaken them.
  • Medea asked Sowo about the Ghost Ship and Godslayers, then borrowed Suye’s Swan Ring, which Sowo found unusable without its artifact furnace.
  • Sowo and Medea could not open Suye’s Void Dragon Ring.

Ch. 693Heavenly Mark

Suye, Medea, and Sowo discussed how to use the God's Arm and prepare for the Godking Palace, while Medea and Sowo spoke privately about their past, the Heavenly Mark, and Suye's potential. Alone in the Ruined Space, Suye reviewed his treasures and sacrifices before taking out Whale Bone Marrow and Whale God Marrow.

  • Suye and Medea considered using Enhanced Creation to fuse the God's Arm into water magic, but Suye said he needed the new Three-Dimensional Flame Demon Snake diagram first.
  • Medea gave Suye the usable, unfinished fire-element Magic Array Diagrams created by Master Heraclitus.
  • Sowo suggested attaching the God's Arm to a Sea God statue to greatly amplify God's Punishment, and Suye went to his cabin to consider it.
  • Medea and Sowo discussed Sowo's duty to the merfolk, Medea's family, Suye's possible role among the Legendary Masters, and the Heavenly Mark.
  • Suye inspected his accumulated treasures in the Ruined Space and took out a piece of Whale Bone Marrow and the Whale God Marrow.

Ch. 694Source of the Water Element

Suye sacrificed whale marrow and other treasures to gain powerful water and dragon abilities, then began sacrificing the Great General Medal. The medal yielded Demigod Body and two warrior talents, leaving Suye to consider the cost of using Demigod Body before reaching Hero level.

  • Suye sacrificed a ten-meter section of whale bone marrow and chose Mana Expansion from the altar's rewards.
  • Suye sacrificed whale god marrow and obtained the God-level Water Element Source talent, which enlarged the Water Ship and created three hundred Golden Water Elementals.
  • Suye absorbed the whale marrow, gaining Giant Whale Duke's Body and Ocean Armed, which could protect his treants from flames.
  • Suye sacrificed the Dragon God Head and received the Dragon Lord Bloodline Crown, unlocking Dragon Valley and advancing his dragon abilities.
  • Suye sacrificed the Great General Medal and received Demigod Body, Source of Divine Power, Master of Ten Thousand Troops, and eight God Transformation Treasure Diamonds.

Ch. 695God Mountain: Ocean Stairway

Suye sacrificed God's Arm and received the Divine Mountain: Ocean Stairway, which strengthened his water-element power. He then sacrificed the Swan Ring and gained divine talents and Divine Authority: Rivers, leaving him with a new throne-shaped authority to consider.

  • Suye sacrificed the Great Savior Medal, reached the Seventh Ring, and chose Divine Might Resurrection over Mortal Body Resurrection and Life and Death.
  • Suye sacrificed the Ghost Palace and gained Ghost Transformation and Ghost Commander, then assessed the Void Dragon Ring, Swan Ring, and God's Arm.
  • God's Arm brought a Sixth Ring reward: Fearless Body, Climate Control, six God Transformation Treasure Diamonds, and Divine Mountain: Ocean Stairway.
  • Suye placed Ocean Stairway in his Magic Tower, where it strengthened his Element Root of Water and created a Water Element Source.
  • Suye sacrificed the Swan Ring, reached the Seventh Ring, and received Starry Sky Body, Belief Protection, Life and Death, and Divine Authority: Rivers.

Ch. 696Divine Authority: War

Suye gained the River Divine Authority and discovered that the altar had produced the powerful War Divine Authority, which he decided to leave untouched until he became a High God. He joined Medea and Sowo in planning to turn sea beasts against their pursuers, but learned that the Godking Palace sought the Whale Kingdom’s Plane Heart on Zeus’s orders.

  • Suye absorbed the River Divine Authority, strengthening his water magic and gaining Water Protection.
  • The Greatest One Medal produced the War Divine Authority, but Suye decided not to claim it until he became a High God.
  • Suye found that his power had strengthened the Water Elementals and asked Medea and Sowo about water-based Magic Servants.
  • Suye, Medea, and Sowo agreed to provoke sea beasts into attacking the Godking Palace’s pursuers, including Marcus and Gult.
  • Medea explained that Gult represented Zeus and that the Godking Palace intended to seize the Whale Kingdom’s Plane Heart; Suye asked whether they had a guaranteed way to obtain it.

Ch. 697Soul Catcher Cage

Suye, Medea, and Sowo prepared to oppose the Godking Palace’s attempt to seize the Whale Kingdom’s Plane Heart and devised a plan to ambush its Holy Domain priests. After the group set out, Suye fortified his mana and summoned a World Tree armed with water-element abilities for the coming battle.

  • Sowo and Medea agreed to help Suye stop the gods from taking the Whale Kingdom, and Medea transferred her magic notes to him.
  • Medea advised Suye that becoming Legendary required belief, persistent effort, and searching for magic’s essence; Suye recorded her words.
  • The three planned to lure the Godking Palace’s Holy Domain priests into the Sea of Mountains, with Medea drawing them in, Sowo backing her up, and Suye attracting Sea Magic Beasts.
  • After five days of preparation, the three reviewed their detailed plan, vowed to keep learning even if they failed, and set off.
  • Suye expanded his mana, merged his Mana Wells into three Great Mana Wells, and summoned a World Tree that he equipped with Heavy Water scales and Water Whips.

Ch. 698Half-Curse Magic

Suye discovered that his water-element power had reached the Legendary level and created Half-Curse Magic, then disguised himself as Gult to provoke the Sea Magic Beasts and steal treasures from the Whale Bone Mine. He left the beasts furious and chasing him through the sea, while his Azure Seaweed scent made their pursuit even more frenzied.

  • Suye used his divine authority and the Ocean Stairway to create a massive Whirlpool Hunt whose power reached the level of the weakest Legendary magic.
  • Suye disguised himself as Light Priest Gultke and waited for the Whale Bone Mine’s Treasure Land to appear.
  • Suye entered the turbid water, took the Whale God Bones, marrow, and blood, then taunted the Sea Magic Beasts and escaped.
  • Suye repeated the theft and provocation, causing the Sea Magic Beasts to search for him and attack the surrounding area in rage.
  • Suye returned to the Whale Bone Mine and drew the Sea Magic Beasts into a furious pursuit, leaving an Azure Seaweed scent that intensified their anger.

Ch. 699Entrap the Enemy

Suye lured the pursuing Sea Magic Beasts into an ambush against Gult’s Godking Palace party, but the beasts attacked both sides. Gult protected his people with the Divine Might Scepter and empowered Marcus to fight as the battle intensified.

  • Suye disappeared into an iceberg maze, and the Sea Magic Beasts split up to pursue and intercept him.
  • Gult’s group discussed Medea’s Medusa’s Shield and their plans to capture her, then Gult sensed a powerful enemy approaching.
  • Sea Magic Beasts attacked Gult’s group, but Gult raised the Divine Might Scepter to form a Radiance Fortress and drive them back.
  • A hidden attacker struck the Sea Magic Beasts with Legendary flames, provoking them to swarm the priests while Grand Silence Techniques repeatedly prevented spellcasting.
  • Marcus awakened luminous wings, unleashed the Dawn Sword’s power to clear the seawater around him, and charged at the Sea Magic Beasts after Gult strengthened his armor.

Ch. 700Day and Night Judge

Marcus and Gult fought the Sea Magic Beasts while searching for the Plane Heart, but a divine attack severely wounded Marcus and forced them to retreat. Sowo, gravely injured after killing eight Holy Domain priests, entrusted Black Coral City to Suye and said he was dying for the Whale Kingdom.

  • Marcus used Angel's Voice—Wings Spread to nearly sever a thick-armored giant shark, then fought the charging Sea Magic Beasts alongside Gult.
  • Gult used the Day and Night Judge rings to protect Marcus and devastate the surrounding Sea Magic Beasts, while Marcus slew a Hero Sea Beast.
  • A thousand Legendary Sea Beast reinforcements surrounded Marcus and Gult with spells, and Gult dispersed Medea's attempt to erode his divine shield.
  • A divine arm struck Marcus despite his defenses, leaving him badly injured; Gult abandoned the pursuit of Medea and took Marcus away to seek the Plane Heart.
  • Sowo, wounded after killing eight Holy Domain priests, asked Suye to take responsibility for Black Coral City and said his death would serve the Whale Kingdom.

Ch. 701The Source of Evil

Suye and Medea comforted the dying Sowo, then resolved to stop the Godking Palace from obtaining the Plane Heart. Medea explained the Palace’s power and Zeus’s role in Heracles’ tragedies, while Suye realized that Gult could use his body as a vessel for a god’s incarnation and wanted to die for that honor.

  • Sowo asked Suye to protect Black Coral Island and urged Medea to leave Greece and begin a safe new life; Medea promised she would leave the Whale Kingdom and Greece.
  • After Sowo fell asleep, Medea told Suye that the Godking Palace had to be stopped to prevent more families from being torn apart.
  • Medea explained that the Godking Palace had wielded immense power since the Old God era and argued that Zeus had used Hera to torment Heracles and shape him into a weapon.
  • Medea told Suye that Chiron had taken Prometheus’s place to endure his divine punishment, but later disappeared along with Prometheus.
  • Medea said she would not leave the Whale Kingdom until she accomplished her goal, and explained that stopping the Godking Palace could help reunite mothers and children.
  • Suye concluded that Gult could summon a god’s incarnation through his body, but Medea warned that Gult welcomed death because becoming a vessel could earn him a place in the divine realm.
