The Mango New Year's Eve Concert had just begun, and the first guest to take the stage made the audience exclaim that He Jiu hadn't lied to them—Zhang Zhenyue was leading off!
A rendition of "Goodbye" and "Missing Is a Kind of Illness" immediately got the concert's atmosphere going.
After that, various first- and second-tier singers appeared one after another: Deng Qi, Cai Yilin, Xue Qian, Zhang Bichen, and others.
Many famous comedians and sketch performers also showed up, such as Deyun Society's pillars, headmaster Guo Gang and Yu Qian; young master President Qilin Yueyue; sketch actors Shen Teng and Mary; and Jia Ling and Liu Haizhu.
The concert stayed dazzling from start to finish, making the audience cheer with delight, while Mango TV's ratings kept climbing.
"How are the ratings?" the head of Mango TV asked backstage.
"They've already broken 1.3," the deputy director replied.
The head of Mango TV frowned. "Why are they so low?"
The deputy director sighed. "We're not the only station with a star-studded lineup. The competition from the other stations is fierce, especially Jiangsu Zhejiang Station and Oriental TV. Oriental TV even invited the Four Heavenly Kings to reunite, along with the God of Songs, Jacky Cheung."
"Jiangsu Zhejiang Station went all out too. They invited the TF group and Rocket Girls, whom the post-2000 generation loves most. They even brought back the original casts of iPartment and My Own Swordsman to cash in on nostalgia. The audience is eating it up."
"Then what place are we in?"
"Second for now, but not by much over third place."
The head of Mango TV paused briefly before asking, "JAY is up next, right?"
"Yes, King of Zhou. After he finishes performing, Jiang Siming is next, and the two of them also have a duet afterward."
