"What do you mean? We won?" Fury stared at the scene, utterly bewildered.
"Looks like it. Otherwise, why would all these robots be lying down?" Captain America said.
Tony cautiously went over to inspect them. Only after confirming that the robots' programs had been completely erased did he finally believe the war was over.
"How did this happen? How did he do it?" Tony looked up at Jiang Siming's mech in disbelief.
They had been tormented by Ultron to the point of exhaustion, working themselves to death against him. With his ability to resurrect through the remains of the earth, Ultron was practically impossible to kill.
As long as they destroyed his mechanical shell, he would immediately retreat into the network and possess another robot. He had even taken control of all the robot factories, which worked tirelessly to produce robot soldiers for him. There was no end to them, no matter how many they killed.
To be fair, the trouble Ultron caused was more than ten times harder to deal with than the Chitauri soldiers Loki had brought.
When fighting the Chitauri people, their numbers were ultimately limited. Once they captured the leader and destroyed the mothership, it would be over.
Ultron was different. He could neither be killed nor wiped out. Even the Avengers were helpless against him.
Tony had even tried asking Daisy, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s top hacker, to cut off Ultron's network connection—in other words, to unplug the cable.
But Ultron's technology was already at the absolute cutting edge. Daisy could do nothing against it.
That was because Ultron had already mastered all current Hacking Skill. To defeat Ultron, they needed even more advanced Hacking Skill.
Obviously, that wasn't something they could develop in a short while.
Yet now, Ultron had suddenly died, and the battle had ended
