President Deng caved in.
Jiang Siming did not end the conversation. Instead, he continued:
"After I 'enlightened' President Te once, he became much more well-behaved. I hope you won't make me enlighten you a second time. If you use those sinister methods against Huaxia again to disgust us, then next time it won't be just an air force base blowing up."
President Deng was instantly terrified. If another base blew up, his days as President would be over.
By then, everyone would probably start missing President Trump's good points and ask him to come back and continue as President. President Deng would then have to pack up and leave.
President Deng had only taken office recently, and he had not yet had his fill of being an official. He did not want to leave.
Besides, being demoted right after taking office would be so humiliating.
Having seen reality clearly, President Deng's tone immediately became sincere.
"Okay, okay, I understand. We were in the wrong this time. The whole Xinjiang Cotton Incident was caused by that idiot captain of the foreign ministry. I'll fire him as soon as I get back!"
Jiang Siming saw through him but did not expose him. He nodded and said, "That would be best. If there's nothing else, you may return. I won't see you out."
"No problem. I should head back too. But before I leave, I still want to discuss something with Mr. Jiang. Could you please stop doing things like this? I don't want to end up like President Trump, being coaxed out of office before completing a full term. I want to be reelected~"
President Deng looked utterly sincere as he pleaded. He was truly frightened.
He was afraid that Jiang Siming would suddenly run amok in Nation M again one day
